  1. Because then you need a tracked chipper (lots more £££) to save taking two vehicles, and its a right ball-ache when you can't get the chipper and the chip on the trailer and you have to make a return trip just for the chipper. Trust me, Ive a double cab hilux, towing a 12ft (8m3) trailer with a tracked chipper, more than a 3rd full of chip and theres no space for the chipper. A single cab 4x4 pickup with 4-5m3 chip capacity and standard 6" chipper would be better for a lot of small works, lighter rig to tow (less fuel) smaller rig etc. Even if you had to tip twice in a day, its still the same km driven as my setup. They've got their place in the market imo
  2. How are you getting on with the Dolmar's (?) that you brought Steve?
  3. His own Silky golden star mini secataurs
  4. A lot of the replys here give strong reason to exactly why trailers should have annual MOT's imo
  5. Gonna stop a lot quicker with the brakes on though isn't it! What do you mean about the shopping trolly?!
  6. I think you can forget the vat thing altogether mick, even if they charge it you just claim it back. (I've no idea how it works either but my accountant does!) they might not not be able to sell directly to a country which already has a distributor though.
  7. Why? All other eu purchases have been they don't charge the vat, I don't pay it but still declare it. if they charge it, I pay it but ask the U.K. For it back (I'm vat registered)
  8. The ZT yeah? Put another 10k on for the scandinavian price
  9. Sounds good, how much is one over there?
  10. The ZT? 14k? How are you getting on with it?
  11. Its been done quite recently, I think there was a thread on here linking it to the treehouse site where they shared all the info to make you're own Just found it: http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/threads/electric-log-and-brushcart-treegoat.36158/

    Bracing

It was 8-9years ago so may remember wrong, but I think it was replaced as there was no date of installation recorded/present. Replaced with cobra with those date disks they used to do and a light reduction.

    Bracing

Mullberry in Ely cathedral...i replace it with cobra
  14. Crikey! Whats the weight limit on the mill? What model is it?
  15. So with your 600kg trailer with its 2600kg load, 3200kg total weight you'd still be able to have 560-675kg load on the truck if my maths is correct
  16. Brochure says 5850, so if towing 3,5t, vehicle payload (excluding driver) is 260kg-375kg depending on model
  17. I was amazed at how little 2ton of soil looked on my Ifor tipper Agree with Ian, you need the 6,5t version to have a chance at staying legal
  18. Depends on the hilux. mk7s are anywhere between 2.2 and 2.8 tons from what I've seen, new ones 3,2-3,5t. Also depends on how much weight is in the back of the truck (Towing the full 2,8t with mine, i can only have 300kg in the truck before the GTW is exceeded)
  19. I looked at one with a hiab and tipp, 3,5t total weight, had all of 200kg load weight
  20. Great news! What did it end up costing the guilty party in the end?
  21. Why would they even bother to get you in to quote if they hadn't heard of you?! Some people don't think there fibs through!

    EcoPlugs

Steady on they don't cost me nearly a quid, 45p is closer, and I certainly don't expect to make a living out of eco plugging stumps felling the trees makes my money, going to the massive effort of bringing a drill, and drilling a few holes at the end of a job is only an added service
