  1. read through this link, i found it awesome! http://masterblasterhome.com/showthread.php?t=14797 used a brand new husqvarna 346xpg which had been modded the other day (45cc) outperformed my stihl 361 (60cc) so so fun to use! i'll try answer, but only to my limited knowledge Why would you mod a saw? to run bigger bars with smaller, lighter units. faster cutting, fun! Is it really that much better? YES!!! brilliant fun How much does it cost? the saw i used cost £200 in mods Can you do it to any saw? yes Im thinking of getting a bigger (MS 460 esc) saw soon, would it be worth modding? Or does it depend on what your doing? see the link above, 460 turned into a 660 killer, 880 contender!
  2. rob, youre avatar pic and comment about not used to spikes promted me to say this, dont spike up the underside of the lean on a tree, it may seem safer in youre head, but you always want to be on the topside of the lean where gravity is then youre friend:thumbup: and ditto huck, definatly legs slightly bent and ditto woodpicker on the sharpening, inside lowest face only
  3. by the words youve written, sounds like its a good thing for you, good luck!
  4. offer them a free bag the size you get in fuel stations, tell them to see how they get on
  5. the lead going to the plug is the ht lead, un plug the ht lead, remove spark plug, connect plug and ht lead again, then touch the spark plug on themetal near the spark plug hole, hold it there and pull the pull cord, you should be able to see the spark flicker (fiddily to do, sit or stand on saw!) is the fuel getting through? if you pull the pull cord a fair few times, with the spark plug in place, then remove the plug, is it wet with fuel? does it smell of petrol? what colours the plug? white bad, digestive biscuit brown perfect, black bad
  6. are you getting a spark?
