  4. previously reduced or single stems? if prev reduced, cutting above, below, or at the prev cut points? vehicular access onto the field? looking at the pics, me and my fav groundie in the uk, with access to the field in the lorry, would do that in a day
  5. Country!! looks a nice pollard to me if its LA, im sure its got a management plan
  6. hi charlie, tradmastanar are the biggest i think, ive a mate just started with them, he's enjoying it.

the other bigish firms are jacksons travard

there isnt nearly as many companys here as in the uk, we regually go 2 or 3 weeks without seeing another tree gang, so the amount of jobs arnt that high.

do a 2 week trial with tradmastaner and see how you like it!

  7. WHAT!!!!! are stihl mad??? i guess theyve stopped them over here already as they arnt in the catalouge:thumbdown: 460 is an ace saw! might have to buy one quick if theyre being discontinued as i just dont like the 441 simples

  11. ahh, another thing i dont miss about england i refused in the uk on a couple of Council jobs, both with dog shite infested gardens and needles hidden in hedges, rang the boss who fully understood, she informed the council, councils problem
  12. you cant compare a schliesling to a timberwolf, even the well built 190, its like comparing a mercedes benz to a citroen, they both do the same job, but the merc is far far better new in the uk, their price is daft, but 2nd hand, a like for like tw/schliesling the schliesling has to be worth 50% more
  13. nice one i like the bow! the link in youre original post diddnt work for me, hopefully its this . . . [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgd-eLHP1SM]YouTube - redwood felling[/ame]

  16. nice kit and rigs there bolt, ive noticed on a few of youre posts you seem to be geared to conservation/sensitive sites/wetland-guessing broads - the iorn horse, matt green chipper, chipper with atv floatation tyres. . . what is youre main work??? just being nosey
  17. even better! then theres a discount ofcourse:001_tongue:
  18. just let them all get on with it, if employers only employed skilled people or people with real potential, we would have a skilled industry. you cant blame nptc for muppets working, as a bigger muppet has employed these muppets imo! the companys that do skilled tree work tend to have skilled workers to keep the companys reputation in tact. . .or they have people with potential working with skilled workers. these companys dont put up with muppets. if you want to get into teaching darren, go for it, be the harshest examiner out there!
  19. sure looks interesting!
  20. funnily enough i was talking to my boss abouth that machine yesterday, weve been looking at a 4x4 bandit, but that costs 30k + over here, those predators are listed on earboristat 16k new look a bargin:thumbup:
