  4. there is a guy on you tube who does the same thing with paper, i think he sells the contraptions on ebay too
  5. how does it go in the tube then, and howdoes it come out? looks very good, does the sawdust absorb much water and take long to dryout?
  6. looks good mate, did the mix go in wet and then compress the water out? love to see a vid of that working
  7. care to share marko with pics.... or is it a top secret patent thing was the sawdust from out of your processor or was it kiln dried stuff???
  8. i prefer horizontals at that power
  9. where are you too? and what about kindling?? and could we mix a load??
  10. i had a customer who insisted his firewood was clean, almost to planed finish, i told him this would cost more as more care and effort was involved to do this the wood needed to almost instant dry on the outside and needed to stay this way so it was stored in smaller tham M3 batches and was constantly moved into the sun and in shelted from rain it is easier to store in big pile, but wood goes mouldy, more effort and expense to store in crates, so pass extra on to client and add on the FUSSY TAX therefore premium product=premium price but i would rather do less work for a product recieved buy the ungrateful to just be burnt without a thought to the effort involved all of my wood is now stored in vented crates and undercover and some still goes mouldy fussy customer is now gone, but not to anyone local and my life is easier
  11. they are fine mate. you are selling them to be burnt at the end of the day, they are not for decoration!! its the potato syndrome.....when you look at the outside, they are covered in crap (unless washed) but the inside is lovely!!! customers are after the heat, not the beauty. but if you can keep them cleaner you can charge more, but then its all relative to time, effort and expense in my opinon anyway!
  12. i am intrested, looking to do the same myself might need a hammermill though too late now, will add more later
  13. i agree with lyn, i can take the timber if treesurfer dont want it
  14. mine wont run over 690 rpm:blushing: but stress dont cut in much, unless its hardwood
  15. ooohhh, that just makes me more determined when thats said to me:thumbup:
  16. bought the machine from them, but as for chain and bar........ i by a reel of chain and make my own as i only use half on machine then put it on saw so need to cut and re-link it, bar..... i keep serial number of original bar and get local machinery guys to order it in a sensible man would order 2 and keep a spare (obvously i'm not sensible)
  17. nice one is the hole where the red hot paperclip pierced the nail to let the blood out??? been there, done it welcome to firewood!!!!!!
  18. A+L all the way with me.......had to leave HSBC, they kept messing things up and saved loads in bank charges too pluss they would not give me a mortgage, been paying overpayments for the last 5 years and halved my balance with them they said " we are not intrested in what you have done in the past, only what could happen in the future" photo for you peter...... have a bad day???
  19. i've got a 5-400 and run it on 540 pto @650 rpm for hard and soft big wood run it on 1000pto @650rpm for brushwood i never run it less than 650 on a 140hp tractor basicly run it as you want, just set the stress control and you should be ok in my experiance!!!
  20. mate there is another thread on this with all the answers, a fair guess is its the chain, try a new one when ordering the bar, make sure you give the serial number as it is an arse when the wrong one only just fits....happened to me check the wear around the sproket on bar, that will put chain on angle i only use my chains half way, then change them cos that keeps happening to me........ i put the chain on the saw then and use it all the way down
  21. the best is..............................................your choice after demos and research my best, may not be yours, but could be franks, TCD's best could be daves but not AD15's most importantly the best is whatever you can afford to make it work oh, by the way, i hope you like hard work, getting cold and wet, answering daft questions, jambed fingers, nails ripped off, bruising, sawdust in eyes, cancelled orders at the last minute, fixing machines and stacking wood good luck mate:biggrin:
  22. £70 per cube hardwood....maybe even £75, plus delivery £60 for softwood sell lots of softwood to the ones that dont want to pay the price for hardwood with softwood i have learnt......money talks most customers come back for more too. 90% of customers cant tell the difference either, they just like the instant heat and big flames
  23. connect electrics to tractor... turn lights on when running machine, did red light come on to tell you stress control was set??? run at around 640 rpm and press either max button or up arrow for 10 secs for the red light to come on if not working, check plug connections check/change fuse in chipper electric box and then try again also shear bolt on pto may have snapped
  24. how much you got
