  3. mate of mine buys booze by the case and pays for restraunt meals through the business and writes it off as entertainment and gifts for customers....................even though it was all for him, same for partys etc, hotel rooms, weekends away ALL FOR HIM = fraud him and customers = not fraud you can go out for a meal with a customer and put it through the books, its entertaining for business relationships...etc you can buy booze for the same purpose, and trips away (business related) arb shows, seminars etc

  8. i'm sucking eggs man, but i canna suck no more!!! that quote did make me laugh1:lol: good advice on the stoves guys. i already know about the RHI and i dont think it will be for wood burners, i think its aimed more towards pellets and wood chip got no room for a woodchip setup, and dont want to pay for pellets
  9. moved house so need a new woodburner, looking at connecting to central heating so looking for a boiler stover...any suggestions??? any way, not the reason for the post, whilst looking through the leaflets for wood burners i have noticed that they now recommend the wood is dry to 20%, no mention fo softwood not to be burnt, just all wood is dry. finally, now all we need is for the public to change their views:thumbup1:
  10. hey guys, any of you out there know the current price of G30 woodchip at around 30 - 40%mc for chp getting involved in a large contract for buying and selling, so any help is greatly appreciated
  11. update , just for info. got a mortgage in the end, through a broker, now with halifax, was fast tracked through in four days. we move in 2 weeks took advice to avoid abbey, broker agreed too and told of lengthy waits my advice, use a broker, they want to get you a mortgage dont use a banks advisor if planing to move within 2 years, make sure your tax returns (if self assessment) look favorable in the taxable profit box, even if this means sacrificing your depreciation and paying more tax. tax returns can be adjusted up to 2 years after submission for this reason....legally and online. finally....use a broker good luck to anyone trying
  12. exactly what i've been thinking too:thumbup1:

  17. at the end of the day, we have all had a verbal bashing on here for one reason or another, its all part of the initiation process, and most of us are still here. why cos thats what happens in our industry. whatever your are selling, there will always be customers which are annoying and picky, and we only have so much patience for them before the get passed over to someone else. i talk to other companies in the area and we all know the PITA customers and do have a laugh at them about the ridiculous stuff we have to go through for them. i'm sure machinery suppliers do the same with us, although we are GREAT customers:thumbup:
  18. if i were to charge for my advice given out to customers every day about : what wood to burn how to burn it where it comes from what it comes in how to use the stove what colour it is what tree is its mother wher was it grown is it sustainable.......etc then i would be a very very rich man, most big companys, especially computer firms charge £1 per min for their info you owe us a frigging fortune mate:sneaky2:
  19. your eye might not notice the chain wear, but the cutting will, in time you will become one of the best chain sharpeners to avoid this problem. you cant avoid the wear either, the head is just not flexible glad your problems fixed:thumbup:
  20. yes he was but knowledge comes with experience. personally, i would be more worried about the dryness of the wood and not the species all dry wood burns, and the value is only what the seller sells for and what the buyer is prepared to pay
  21. i was in a bad mood earlier, thank god i came on here ..... i got really wet pants now:lol:
