  1. both my wife and i are self employed, so only one route for me i'm afraid i'm with hsbc and have all savings with them, have 40k mort with them on which i pay more than double overpayments on @600p/m, own 68% of house so want to borrow 38% am asking for 60k, repayments will be 300p/m and they have said no makes no sense to me!!!!! i will pull every thing out if i change morts though
  2. wheres the site, approx will do, not intrested in competing. firewood

  4. thanks mate, i've just gone to bed and cried into my pillow now:crying:
  5. ok check the bar groove for any excessive wear to widen the groove check the sproket for any unusual wear check the chain drive links for any excessive wear check chain teeth to all be sharpened to same angle and size check depth gages for same check the chain is the CORRECT pitch for the bar if your 37 is like my 42 then the chain sharpening HAS to be spot on, the head wont flex like a chainsaw in your hand wear in the bar and sprocket will twist the chain to cut at an angle and the bar will not go down through the wood as will a chain with a smaller pitch than the bar when i get this problem (usually when the teeth are at half life) i take the chain off and but it on the chainsaw and replace with a new chain i had the same problem for months and found it to be the sproket hope this helps
  6. but when you die it goes to your kids, which is another reason you work, although tax man gets 40% cgt or it
  7. yes trying to buy a house mate for a little bit moe than i'm selling mine for, but is bigger and in better area did you mean what did i buy, i bought 1x42 greenspeed new and a skidsteer new and 2nd hand tractor
  8. i can afford the repayments, and have 62% equity so have a big deposit, like hamad wont rent and been caught with intrest only before.
  9. i know what you mean, but i did make a substantial profit, i just re-invested the profit into the company to make more profit, which i then re-invested to make more again. i'm now being penalised for it as the mortgage only goes on what you pay tax on, not on what your profit would've been if you did not want to grow your business. if we went on this profit before the allowable capital adjustment, we would be having a different conversation (probably about how much ridiculous amonts of tax i pay out which goes to bail out the banks:sneaky2:)
  10. oh self certs are no longer avail either
  11. i'm asking for 38% ltv, and extending it to 25yrs which halves my current repayments BUT cos i bought big machinery in the past 2 yrs, good old tax man has written off the depreciation in 1 yr instead of 3, this dropped my taxable profic a hell of a lot..... GREAT BUT this now means that the lenders only go on your taxable profit so that what is making things difficult, already been refused by my bank i already have mortgage with

  15. no mate. its a 1x42 greenspeed, only need 35hp to run, but weighs a ton.

big wood=big money. never used a 37 sorry, but others on here have got them

  16. big barn = big rent (thats only half the barn) when you are full time, you will find 20 cube wont even last you a week, so be prepared
  17. oh yeah you need a MASSIVE storage area for the amount of seasoned wood needed to survive off. bear in mind, whatever money you make, you need to re-invest in wood for next year, fuel and running costs. wages and tax. when self employed you need to turnover atleast twice if not three times as much money as you would want to live off. good luck mate where you based to???
