  1. a good place to visit mate, on accomodation, not to sure but surely google will pull somthing up, also center parcs is more or less next door
  2. at the end of the day, we have all had a verbal bashing on here for one reason or another, its all part of the initiation process, and most of us are still here. why cos thats what happens in our industry. whatever your are selling, there will always be customers which are annoying and picky, and we only have so much patience for them before the get passed over to someone else. i talk to other companies in the area and we all know the PITA customers and do have a laugh at them about the ridiculous stuff we have to go through for them. i'm sure machinery suppliers do the same with us, although we are GREAT customers:thumbup:
  3. if i were to charge for my advice given out to customers every day about : what wood to burn how to burn it where it comes from what it comes in how to use the stove what colour it is what tree is its mother wher was it grown is it sustainable.......etc then i would be a very very rich man, most big companys, especially computer firms charge £1 per min for their info you owe us a frigging fortune mate:sneaky2:
  4. your eye might not notice the chain wear, but the cutting will, in time you will become one of the best chain sharpeners to avoid this problem. you cant avoid the wear either, the head is just not flexible glad your problems fixed:thumbup:
  5. yes he was but knowledge comes with experience. personally, i would be more worried about the dryness of the wood and not the species all dry wood burns, and the value is only what the seller sells for and what the buyer is prepared to pay
  6. i was in a bad mood earlier, thank god i came on here ..... i got really wet pants now:lol:
  7. thats exactly as feels isnt it!!!
  8. YEAH.......but can i have my mortgage first please:thumbup:
  9. love it!! hilarious, absolutly hilarious!! and using big words too poor guy, hope he dont own a cabstar (well someone had to say it)
  10. i know, my 21 yr old niece who has no assets and earns less than i do, but is employed, can get the same mort that i cant:thumbdown:
  11. both my wife and i are self employed, so only one route for me i'm afraid i'm with hsbc and have all savings with them, have 40k mort with them on which i pay more than double overpayments on @600p/m, own 68% of house so want to borrow 38% am asking for 60k, repayments will be 300p/m and they have said no makes no sense to me!!!!! i will pull every thing out if i change morts though
  12. wheres the site, approx will do, not intrested in competing. firewood
  13. thanks mate, i've just gone to bed and cried into my pillow now:crying:
  14. thanks mate, i've just gone to bed and cried into my pillow now:crying:
  15. ok check the bar groove for any excessive wear to widen the groove check the sproket for any unusual wear check the chain drive links for any excessive wear check chain teeth to all be sharpened to same angle and size check depth gages for same check the chain is the CORRECT pitch for the bar if your 37 is like my 42 then the chain sharpening HAS to be spot on, the head wont flex like a chainsaw in your hand wear in the bar and sprocket will twist the chain to cut at an angle and the bar will not go down through the wood as will a chain with a smaller pitch than the bar when i get this problem (usually when the teeth are at half life) i take the chain off and but it on the chainsaw and replace with a new chain i had the same problem for months and found it to be the sproket hope this helps
  16. but when you die it goes to your kids, which is another reason you work, although tax man gets 40% cgt or it
  17. yes trying to buy a house mate for a little bit moe than i'm selling mine for, but is bigger and in better area did you mean what did i buy, i bought 1x42 greenspeed new and a skidsteer new and 2nd hand tractor
  18. i can afford the repayments, and have 62% equity so have a big deposit, like hamad wont rent and been caught with intrest only before.
  19. i know what you mean, but i did make a substantial profit, i just re-invested the profit into the company to make more profit, which i then re-invested to make more again. i'm now being penalised for it as the mortgage only goes on what you pay tax on, not on what your profit would've been if you did not want to grow your business. if we went on this profit before the allowable capital adjustment, we would be having a different conversation (probably about how much ridiculous amonts of tax i pay out which goes to bail out the banks:sneaky2:)
  20. oh self certs are no longer avail either
  21. i'm asking for 38% ltv, and extending it to 25yrs which halves my current repayments BUT cos i bought big machinery in the past 2 yrs, good old tax man has written off the depreciation in 1 yr instead of 3, this dropped my taxable profic a hell of a lot..... GREAT BUT this now means that the lenders only go on your taxable profit so that what is making things difficult, already been refused by my bank i already have mortgage with
