  1. Any particular reason you want yellow? Could almost do with 1 myself as keeping all ropes seperated and more organised this year, and the fact I got a load of bags cheap. Blue for climbing gear, red for rigging and yellow or whatever ells I find for retired ropes for tag line or pull ropes.
  2. Before I went full time I nearly got a new cs100 with the plan to make a mounting bracket that would fit onto the towball drop plate on my 130landy to carry it in a similar way. Bet all that set up is quite heavy for our puny UK speck pickups. :'(
  3. Welcome to the club, how many times have to caught yourself doing something not quite by the book and thought "better not as someone with criticise that" I know even my video's have a good few hrs work put in to them so who knows how much time was spent on such like august hynicky s X video.

    Nice Pic

That's a cracking winch up front for pulling with ;-)
  5. Ah well I got 6 for less than a 100 quid so I'm happy didn't get anything ells but was surprised by just how big the store was as never bothered going in before so I guess it sortoff worked on me as a new potential future customer found. Every industry has loss leaders in 1 way or another even us, I often do it with little stump grinding jobs by doing them at almost cost at the end of the day if we take out the tree, it's extra revenue in little time while we are already there and the rg13 almost travels for free anyway.
  6. Ha you look chuffed and seb looks a little scared where her hands heading. Have a good night, quiet 1 in git towers due to lack of babysitting volunteers.
  7. Looks interesting, get it mounted on and working and a few more pictures.
  8. Insomnia, wife complains about the cure as it wakes her up Such a good night's sleep last night I didn't even hear the alarm, 9am just unheard of for me to wake so late!
  9. Cheep way of doing that is fill bottom with sand to keep heat away from the base and stop it burning the mettle. Chance would be a fine thing Paul!! ;-) I am as daft as I look just occasionally get a good idea :-P
  10. Anybody filled the bit of time off with little making or mending projects they'd like to share picks off. Mine to start, made this as a present.for a friend who runs forest school groups and sometimes struggle to get permission to have an open fire, now it's contained. Also made a hot plate to sit on top but forgot to take pictures of that and a taller flu to sit over the little chimney that along with the legs fit inside fir transport.
  11. And ment to say the 120ltr I could almost camp out in as a tent, it's massive!!
  12. Just got half a dozen of these today as was passing and they seem quite good so now blue bags for climbing gear and red for rigging stuff and for that price even if we only get a year it's good value in my opinion.
  13. Or blackthorn, not that it can't but would you want too ;-) Big popular can be a problem with the speed of the regrowth and onset of decay.
  14. Getting into the new yard, which I started today. Making it pay for itself in logs chip and some interesting sculpture furniture I can get on with now I finally have room. Getting Ben through his climbing and aerial rescue to start doing more of the pruning works. And build up that illusive contingency fund just incase. Not work related but spend more quality time with my dad having recently lost my mum.
  15. Is that cause cure or affect IC? Had a bought of it last night as brain just wouldn't switch of from all the little maintenance jobs I'd done yesterday and stuff I was doing today, finished now so hopefully with the help of...... I'll sleep better tonight
  16. I thought that on the 1st 1 but now I have 2 need I say more, most of the lads who help out grab that over the 372 and just sold the 441 as hadn't done a day except call outs for over 6month.
  17. 560xpg bud or a 372xpg, I run both and both excellent saws but the 2 560 do so much work its ridiculous 1 with a 15" bar and 1 with a 20" no worries.
  18. Jonsies have 1 on husky saws at the moment that ends 1st Jan I think so order online if you want 1. Might not help as ain't you a sthil man bigfeller.
  19. One of the best yet! Still use the... Has she gon out yet? Bosh!
  20. With the gopro software you can turn the live sound on or off and alter the volume of it to stand out over the music or be just audible with it. I always think additional music adds to the whole thing and is quite easy to add if you run iTunes. Check out some of my vids if you like. Chestnut Rigging: BACKBONE TREE RIGGING: Plenty of good tutorials on youtube as well. One of my vids is blocked in Japan because of the music but never sure about the use of it and until told otherwise will continue doing what I do.
  21. What day you boys going and could meet up and I'll get you a free bacon sandwich and a free tea ;-) Going to have a look at the timberwolf 9" turntable machine as an option for later in the year.
  22. IT equipment, cloth washing, %heating costs as run office from home, token amount for electric at home, milage in wife's car as often go pricing in it, everything on my 3 vehicles, your allowed a certain amount for entertaining clients/employees so when I went out for a big pub meal with a few guy's I work with /for to discuss a future combined project I got told by my accountant to put it down as a legit expense. Membership to trade organisation like the arb association, entry into trade shows like the apf, accommodation while at trade shows or training courses. There is loades more that you'd never think of so as lots have said get an accountant which for your business model shouldn't cost that much and could or should save you more than the cost.
  23. Sorry to hear you have been ill David, hope you still enjoyed Christmas with your family and having a little brake gives you needed rest. Glad your getting European distribution sorted just wish I'd payed more attention at school in German class and I'd hav a chance of navigating the website ;-)
  24. Think this could explain harry hill! ;-)
  25. Ah well if you don't get the answer you desire, start another thred and ask it again and again till you do!
