  1. Thor 10.5 ton Logspitter with 10.5hp briggs and Stratton engine stolen last week. Was fitted with wide splitting knife, engine mounts had been rewelded and top table was a little bent at the sides. Stop switch broken and requires cross wiring to stop engine. Any information to help with the return of this machine would be appreciated as was out on lone so not covered by insurance.
  2. Was thinking exactly the same about a 2nd camera, tempted by the gopro hero, for about 100quid it's not bad for a 2nd 1 compared to the others. Often find the jobs that'd make the most interesting vids are the 1ns that require total concentration or have just no time for setting anything up for getting interesting footage. Think I'm going to try a montage of clips from different jobs soon showing different equipment or job styles so don't have to think about capturing a full job for it to make sense.
  3. Got the egr blanking kit fitted to the 130 cherrypicker last week which for once turned out to be a very strate forward no dramas job, less than an hour. Not sure if it's made any performance improvement but it seems to stink less when sat ticking over for long periods working the boom, was definitely gummed up inside as paddle was very stiff to turn inside!
  4. New bairings, anvil is cracked and new belts, 400 odd hrs in a little over 2 years with nothing but oil and blade changes so can't really complain.
  5. At least it'll be quiet to opperata ;-)
  6. No still at garage waiting for new injectors to turn up as 1 is cracked, could have done with that with all these call outs as well! Big truck is good but side wind gusts when she's empty can be a little squeaky bum! And head lights are crap as still not got round to fitting the led spot lamps to the front.
  7. That's good, you'll get to have a play with my greenmech as garath is hiring it in for that course. That is if it back from fixes, geez could have done with it today!
  8. Sounds like my day Andy, had a few I wished I had a mog with crane to help, just ended up winching stuff with the rb44 instead. 4th picture looks like something from axe men, keep you busy for a while. Another from thisafternoon, can't believe it didn't hit anyone or rip any of the wires off the house, another to finish next week and remove the rest of the tree.
  9. Just got in from this 1 at 2.15am Took out 2 power lines and a fiber optic line. Strange as 4 month ago removal was refused as nothing wrong with the tree :what::what:
  10. ZigZag recriational climb: Hear you go bud.
  11. Yup, sheared clean of the stump, fair size if you spot my beany on the trunk.
  12. Let's hope this wind go's or you might be skipping felling and strate into windblow! Let us know how you get on but should be all fine, enjoy!
  13. Lovely, your wife should be very proud of you,
  14. Keep swapping between BT and imoria when 1 gets wet and to be honest the imoria is quite nice to use, different to the BT how it handles through the zz and a little more stretch but feels nicer in the hand. Got a side lanyard of teckion which is good rope so fancy a full length of this to try.
  15. Almost sertenly for us boys with knackered knees in our 30s Old boy near me go's about like this with a bow saw collecting any fallen branches he can get hold of, sure I put a picture of him in the overloaded thred somewhere ;-)
  16. Yesterday's little reduction, not brilliant but a compromise between what I thought and what the client asked for which was another 8ft lower. And today storm damaged! Back to the cedar next week to chip up and possibly mill some of the timber. Just got back from another little highways call out with a rather charming wpcso, sorry no pictures.
  17. Well done everyone, not quite the 10k but will sertenly help someone somewhere who needs it more than we do
  18. Cousins, the 1 with gorilla hands :-o
  19. Thanks steve, looking forward to irritating a few squirrels with my new catapult ;-) Do we have a grand total for amount raised yet? Well done every 1 for seaporting.
  20. That's exactly what I did! I now get undressed in the utility room and sweep the floor when finished, I did get a 2nd heavy duty machine to do work stuff but it turned out to be better than hers so now does all the washing and hers has gon so not my fault if stuff gets 'contaminated' if it's really bad like from spannering and covered in oil and derv I give em to a friend to do as she washes horse rugs for a living.
  21. Not a vast amount for the tree orientated, new timberwolf being demoed which was impressed with, a tracked 190 inside and a turntable 1. A few splitters and saw bench from fuelwood Warwick and a stumpgrinder from spectrum, mostly farming stuff that you'd expect from Rippon farm services. But good stake sarny and chips for lunch
  22. Might not be so good near greenhouses :what:
  23. Arbfortraining is running CS30/31 Jan 12th - 30th and Feb 9th - 13th. Just had a timetable email of them as got lads needing training soon aswell.
  24. Possible, it is about 15years since I had to remember this stuff. ;-)
  25. Ow and cool reason for needing to know, had ringworm on horses so know about it, grew up on livery yard.
