  1. If you need any volunteers to further test your investment in UK conditions I'm willing to let you post me a prototype. ;-)
  2. Top answer to the non believes in innovative David. The THT is looking good and it'll be interesting to see the reaction of the masses once a few people get hold and start using them in more situations with different skill and experience levels. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll get to where you want to be.
  3. We pass ed 8 of them on Thursday morning heading north towards Newcastle all loaded up with heavy armer. Sounds awesome as you go past a convoy of them all pulling hard up hill!
  4. Only 1 grind only company round here that I know of and did get them in to do some for me with the theory of making a bit without doing much.... Never again! Probably took me longer to tidy and make customer happy afterwards than if I'd done it myself with a rg13. This is why I've ordered a Hb20 to do whole thing 1 go and I'll still hire in bigger when needed. Big 70hp carlton coming in for 2 days end of month for over 100 stumps on a site clearance type job and a few bigger stumps on a golf course.
  5. All depends on how much you pay yourself on and off the books and how profitable the business is after reinvestment. We get disability living allowance as my wife is primarily care for my son who is classed as having a life threatening metabolic disorder and this all helps pay for stuff so allowing me to pay myself as the boss less so leaving more to invest back into the business and grow it which makes me the lowest payed member of staff including the trainee but we still live comfortable and if I do want anything nice I just pay myself more that month.
  6. It's only been a week..... Don't say your getting the travel itch again so soon That timber wants milling as I had 1 about that size and cut it down into 1" slabs and it went off to a cabinet makers for a reasonable amount of beer tokens.
  7. Would be cool to have a timelaps of a picture a day over a full year to see how it changes with the seasons.
  8. At 5 years old your rope may be soft but probably quite ingrained with tiny bits of muck and grit which may add to the abrasion of the mettle, tachyon is quite soft so you could swap for a firmer rope which might extend the working life of the zigzag for a bit longer.
  9. And it's often a funny colour the morning after, love the stuff.
  10. That's a beast of a grinder Paul, just never loose the remote, £1600 for a new 1 according to orange plant last time I hired 1  Looking like it's going to be another glorious winters day :-D
  11. At least you have a decent sized chipper to take it, last and only 1 I've ever done had to be forced into a 5" quickchip = painful!!
  12. No it was far funnier than that Kevin, poor lad didn't know what to do with himself, sure was a warning to the rest of us.
  13. Filling bait box full of expanding fome was quite a funny experience. 4 pro plus, 3 laxatives and 2 viagra in a lads morning brew for turning up.hung over repeatedly when working on team piece rates worked quite effectively as a punishment ;-)
  14. You'd have only had to walk a few hundred yards down the road and could have picked 1 of these up if you'd really wanted too. Do you start tomorrow Paul? Looks quite a kitted out company to work for, should be good
  15. 4 point harness and full auto fire suppression system.
  16. Hope your right about that as I've just sent deposit for 1 as sick of the fight I have some days with the rg13 but don't need a full on hydraulic machine as can hire in easy anough for large multi stump jobs. Soon as it's here the rg will be on arbtrader!
  17. Something like that. I was more interested in a khan range rover sport for around the 55k mark ;-) Croft is the nearest, only about 20min away but Donnington ain't really that far away. As part of the local lotus club they do all sorts of things and quite a few charity events with the cars. 1 at beamish in the not too distant future I think.
  18. Yes they had a Nissan in but was white with white interior so did nowt for me. Yes jon my dad just got the green goblin, bit of a limited edition as actually a track prepped edition, I brought back his 3ltr twin turbo subaru legacy and off junction didn't have a chance of keeping up with him!
  19. Blue Bentley was 127k I think. Came home with this little beauty, 260hp in something that weighs less than my quadchip!!
  20. Though you might like to see these Paul, spent the afternoon with my dad today looking as shiny stuff for him.
  21. Red Roo: RedTooth Stump Grinder Tooth Sharpening Demonstration: This is the video I was on about when I was on phone to you last week dean.
  22. No, that would be cruel making her wrap it as well! I get the kids to do it ;-)
  23. ^^^ WHAT HE SAID ^^^ That's how we work in our house, she tells me exactly what, where, and how much, or just hands it to me to rap. And I just get my own anyway. Took 10years of been together to get to this happy understanding mind!!
  24. It was interrupt, but that was me stupidly answering a call from the wife and having to come out the tree to sign some paperwork. Good day, good graft, job done client happy ;-)
