  1. Nose cone of something? What you going to do with it?
  2. Gray git

    wow!!!

It's the genuine lack of concern in the woman's voice that got me.
  3. I'll mention it to the tree officer next time I have a sight meeting with him and see what the reaction is
  4. Now that'd be a cool place to gain permission to have a organised rec climb, some monsters to play in.
  5. Yeh but not going to turntable it and I find that so useful. Timberwolf were almost evasive when I asked for details and timescales on it and just tried to sell me a new version 150.
  6. No, fantastic looking machine, bit more expensive than I'd like but that was list so will have to see what they come back with next week back in the real world. But Forst put a spanner in last thing by telling me the 8" could be available on a turntable by the end of the year which would be an ideal machine. You get anything good Ic?
  7. Far more than I'll ever tell the wife I did ;-)
  8. Watching someone else top a conifer hedge for me. ;-) Really like storm damage work as it's always difficult and normally a real thinking job to do safely
  9. Someone sure did, sounded like a fight between a badger and a pitbull about 4 thismorning.:eek:
  10. Ah well new 1 for £235 inc vat so good deal had! Now the fart on getting it set as nice as the old 1 :-)
  11. My business, my harness so my choice I guess. Kinda think the same as you mark, some things I use are far beyond the self district date but look absolutely fine outer stuff like lanyards are lucky to last 18month never mind 5 years. I've got an adjustable bridge on mine so easy to swap out and just use 10mm line so that's not a problem.
  12. Lost count of how many bridges it's had now, nowt to do with impressing just not getting court out by not passing lola exam or a particularly observant site inspection spotting it. Hate new harnesses as they never fit like the old 1, just had a good look at it and a bit of fraying in places but ok, if there's a saving to be had I'll think about it if not I'll get 1 early next year.
  13. I had the same experience omt, was very disappointed with the carlton even compared to the old rg1635 it was painfully slow and felt underpowered and very top heavy so crap on any sort of banking.
  14. Lots of use and just looked and got it April 2011 so might see what's available tomorrow and if any deals to be had.
  15. My current harness is a 2011 harness, as the title says how many years do you get before required to replace the whole thing? Just asking as if any1 has the a good harness deal on tomorrow might get a newn. Cheers.
  16. £2.80 postage, bargain! Tried a go in a old norcar that was like that, excellent visibility in the line thinning we were cutting for him.
  17. Will you be doing demos of the coffee press so I can check I'm making it correctly ;-)
  18. Better service a bit more regularly but that's quite a difference. You must have been very bored!
  19. Thankfully home after a flat out day, nothing spectacular, just broken limbs blocking roads or hanging stuff needing clearing.
  20. That looks so much better than the one I used to drive, reverse drive will make a big difference to comfort and that longer reach crane should make it a lot more productive, how's it for stability? Has the new 1 done away with the centrifuge clutch which is something that gave us a lot of bother...
  21. Yes, just the 1, big ash limb failed onto the road. Crap dark pick sorry.
  22. I use a 4ft x 4ft bit of 4mm stock board pushed down between the pins for all crap remove and excellent for hedge clippings to, mine is out every week, love it!
  23. He's American so why not, it's a safety cowboy hat so it'll be fine!
