  1. Would be handy when I'm plunge cutting furniture joints rather than sharpie marks up the bar
  2. Some excellent examples in this lot also, favorite has to be the rootplate sitting back down and coursing a tidal wave...
  3. Look up layburn lad on here as he is looking for line clearance staff but a bit south of you in North yorkshire, always worth a pm and a call.

    New Radio

Sure I'd seen a millwalky 1 that was also DAB for less than that but it was a bit bigger but looked very strong, fancy 1 myself for in the yard save having to use 1 of the vehicle radios to entertain when spannering.
  6. And this is the future
  7. That's the sort of thing the dealer should be aware of Pete when they bring them out and demonstrate that it's possible to adjust such a thing to compensate for heavy material. He did show us where I'd be able to have a speed adjuster fitted but said as a factory fit only available on the tracked machine.
  8. You using your phone as a sneaky mirror now Paul ha ha
  9. Yeh that's why I'm going bigger, that and I hate dressing stuff out unnecessarily!
  10. Going to try the wall paper paste thing with some laurel regeneration we have to selectively kill off soon, apply with a brush direct to the leaf.
  11. Feed speed was quite quick but no more than the quadchip but unfortunately it's not adjustable unlike the tracked machine, think it was more to do with the disk speed not creating anough blow, on same material the quadchip hammer everything to the front. Like I say, good machine but not a big enough improvement in performance to warrant loosing the turntable and the 10k + extra I'd need to change. Agreement on the opening up to check stuff can prevent problems before they get big
  12. Had 1 on demo last week and found it a good machine but not as bigger improvement on the quadchip as I'd hoped, some good features like a Rev up/down button on the hopper, spare tire tucked underneath. Poor points were spout was wrong for my big truck, no central grease points so have to remove covers to do it. And the hopper felt quite narrow for that size class machine. When chipping timber it had a good through but on wet conifer quite poor and worse on willow which ended up just making it into the truck. Build quality looked very good but actually prefer the 1928.
  13. Didn't axactly find this place but have taken out a lot of trees and was back to grind the stumps so the grass can be cut back so it can be seen again from the main hall.
  14. Not much recoil, think it's an electronic spring to give a bit of feel but not anough to knock a 7 year old girl over. The boy was too small for that yet but had a go with the arrows and climbed on plenty of tractors.
  15. The tractors would be music to your ears Jon!
  16. Thought you'd like these Paul from a show I went to last weekend. Some fire pits Some v8 majors And hannah showing she has inherited my eye with a gun on the laser clays.
  17. Yeh, strange place, good Mexican restaurant just off the high street I seam to remember.
  18. Darn was almost there last weekend in Wooster.
  19. Think the ones who give me the smile these days have already been beaten with a stick, must find out which area the research was done;-)
  20. Really hope that line was turned off as he twanged it a few times with bits, wish I'd has that for topping today's overgrown hawthorn hedge!
  21. Not round here that ain't!
  22. You off work still doing a few guvy jobs? Can't beet a 200 as a topper that's for sure! Best time to swap to Aspen after a rebuild when everything is in top condition especially if the saws not in daily use.
  23. Yeah all oak iv felled and milled, been drying for about 5 years now apart from the smallest bit about 3 years, forgot to take any of the making as normal sorry
  24. Morning call-out, been cracked a long while by the looks of it but just reached the point of no return today. Bit of climbing for Ben deadwooding a few ash with his 1st treeverse to save coming down to get up next tree. Then finish a bit of sanding on this back at the workshop.
