  1. Like the little vermeer catching a branch at 2.30ish
  2. Ahhhh fire, the most manly of all things, thought it would be finding somewhere when lost without asking directions.
  3. This is a couple of gooduns I've spotted recently.
  4. That lad was so modest about his ability when we met him last year at the arb show and "decorated" his shag palace, I mean tent ;-) Well done to graham for that result, hopefully see you there.
  5. Any1 got any recommendations for a lightweight trailer that would suit putting my Hb20 into and tow behind the cherrypicker which would free up the big tipper trailer for timber or chip or just save dragging nearly a ton of trailer around unnecessarily.
  6. No worries, next time I've got it at home and it's dark I'll get some picks of the light pattern. Think I'll get 2 more for big truck once funds allow as that also has crap main beam and a few smaller ones for back and sides of vehicles. Back to the op britax beacons on my trucks have lasted well and show up well in daylight also and sparex repeaters dotted around that flash in sink or alternate look good, passed a very picky highways inspection anyhow. The one's on the cherrypicker, strobes of some kind are good in the dark but crap in daylight and need looking at soonish, especially the one on the boom knuckle.
  7. Derailing slightly but the led spots I got from you last thing sat at Ripley for my landy cherrypicker are brilliant, had to stay up late especially to see just how bright they were. Top product.
  8. That's a cool way of setting it up, looks very responsive and grabs well, top 1 just for holding on descents?
  9. This is an excellent thred and think a few lads I know starting out in this game could do with reading this. I think the collages are partly to blame for lads thinking freelance or setting up on there own strate away is the fast rought to big bucks fast cars and pritty women but they have sod all experience to fall back on and half, not all I must add still have a student mentalities of start at 9.30, pub by 5 and reality is very different without repeating what others have already said. If you want to succeed and some do normally with hard graft, long hrs and lots of determination to do it and not be beaten but also a diplomatic side to deal with clients, an ability to sell yourself honestly and learn when to walk away before things go bad. Total waffle sorry. Steven were the years out the Gloria years ;-) Adam, sorry to hear about the house situation, one of my greatest fears to not keep the roof over my children but well done for starting this thred and keeping going.
  10. Consider the Stine version as I've found it excellent and a big asset to speeding up line placement since winning it in the last xmas raffle. Got a few extra poles and a lopper head with is excellent.
  11. Quoted unfortunately, but client added a whole bunch of work onto and just told us to get on with it and bill him with an added bit for what I forgot on the original quote, his words... The landy made it better but still needed pole saw to reach the middle. Climbing it would have been a nightmare as whoever did it last left most of it in the top so getting through it would be nasty.
  12. Warrior 1200 same as I have on the twin cab 130, been good and with the built in remote control it's a lot of pull for your pounds.
  13. Mine has evolved again after a trip to the landy show last weekend, should get winch fitted on saterday and she'll be ready for the wet summer ;-)
  14. Bit of a hedge mission for a few days, over 15m3 of chip and a good trailer load of timings and crap out of this thing! Last picture shows the full L shape of it and width. Sertenly underestimate just how wide the sod was on top!
  15. Think he went to work for someone at rippon running a pellet press thingy that went flop and now on for rgb forestry last I heard. + he sold that nice valtra with cabmount.
  16. Was it landgards machine that came in last time for you? Can he not help again? You could try shaun at Zetland Estates as he has a 30ton splitter to do your bigger stuff into billets.
  17. It's natural layering where branches touch the ground and root so becoming trees within there own rite. The one's in North park are brilliant and always fancied climbing them 1day.
  18. Staying there too, few of us northerners going to come tent it. Look forward to seeing you there Katie.
  19. Frankindigger, put a timber grab or sheer head on that and it could be good on sensitive sites.
  20. Apart from sticky fingers when feeding the fire it's excellent stuff for logburners!
  21. A few picks from sat at the landy show at Ripley, last 1 is all wheel steer and can crab sideways or just rear steer, stupidly impressive since its two fairly standard front axles with hydraulics controlling them.
