  1. I had the same experience omt, was very disappointed with the carlton even compared to the old rg1635 it was painfully slow and felt underpowered and very top heavy so crap on any sort of banking.
  2. Lots of use and just looked and got it April 2011 so might see what's available tomorrow and if any deals to be had.
  3. My current harness is a 2011 harness, as the title says how many years do you get before required to replace the whole thing? Just asking as if any1 has the a good harness deal on tomorrow might get a newn. Cheers.
  4. £2.80 postage, bargain! Tried a go in a old norcar that was like that, excellent visibility in the line thinning we were cutting for him.
  5. Will you be doing demos of the coffee press so I can check I'm making it correctly ;-)
  6. Better service a bit more regularly but that's quite a difference. You must have been very bored!
  7. Thankfully home after a flat out day, nothing spectacular, just broken limbs blocking roads or hanging stuff needing clearing.
  8. That looks so much better than the one I used to drive, reverse drive will make a big difference to comfort and that longer reach crane should make it a lot more productive, how's it for stability? Has the new 1 done away with the centrifuge clutch which is something that gave us a lot of bother...
  9. Yes, just the 1, big ash limb failed onto the road. Crap dark pick sorry.
  10. I use a 4ft x 4ft bit of 4mm stock board pushed down between the pins for all crap remove and excellent for hedge clippings to, mine is out every week, love it!
  11. He's American so why not, it's a safety cowboy hat so it'll be fine!
  12. Like the little vermeer catching a branch at 2.30ish
  13. Ahhhh fire, the most manly of all things, thought it would be finding somewhere when lost without asking directions.
  14. This is a couple of gooduns I've spotted recently.
  15. That lad was so modest about his ability when we met him last year at the arb show and "decorated" his shag palace, I mean tent ;-) Well done to graham for that result, hopefully see you there.
  16. Any1 got any recommendations for a lightweight trailer that would suit putting my Hb20 into and tow behind the cherrypicker which would free up the big tipper trailer for timber or chip or just save dragging nearly a ton of trailer around unnecessarily.
  17. No worries, next time I've got it at home and it's dark I'll get some picks of the light pattern. Think I'll get 2 more for big truck once funds allow as that also has crap main beam and a few smaller ones for back and sides of vehicles. Back to the op britax beacons on my trucks have lasted well and show up well in daylight also and sparex repeaters dotted around that flash in sink or alternate look good, passed a very picky highways inspection anyhow. The one's on the cherrypicker, strobes of some kind are good in the dark but crap in daylight and need looking at soonish, especially the one on the boom knuckle.
  18. Still fully clothed thankfully.
  19. Derailing slightly but the led spots I got from you last thing sat at Ripley for my landy cherrypicker are brilliant, had to stay up late especially to see just how bright they were. Top product.
  20. That's a cool way of setting it up, looks very responsive and grabs well, top 1 just for holding on descents?
  21. This is an excellent thred and think a few lads I know starting out in this game could do with reading this. I think the collages are partly to blame for lads thinking freelance or setting up on there own strate away is the fast rought to big bucks fast cars and pritty women but they have sod all experience to fall back on and half, not all I must add still have a student mentalities of start at 9.30, pub by 5 and reality is very different without repeating what others have already said. If you want to succeed and some do normally with hard graft, long hrs and lots of determination to do it and not be beaten but also a diplomatic side to deal with clients, an ability to sell yourself honestly and learn when to walk away before things go bad. Total waffle sorry. Steven were the years out the Gloria years ;-) Adam, sorry to hear about the house situation, one of my greatest fears to not keep the roof over my children but well done for starting this thred and keeping going.
  22. Consider the Stine version as I've found it excellent and a big asset to speeding up line placement since winning it in the last xmas raffle. Got a few extra poles and a lopper head with is excellent.
