  1. Base of the ring finger is where the predictability switch is in a women, ones a ring go's on its permanently set to off! ;-) Has a similar specter at my shoulder before so politely asked him to come and read and sign my risk assessment and offered to lend him the heaviest hottest high viz jacket and helmet to keep him safe, sharp disappeared in as it was sweltering :-D
  2. Any one know the paint code for a rg13 as need to weld a crack in the curved bit over the cutter head in an otherwise spotless machine so want to re paint that bit afterwards to keep it looking rite before I sell it.
  3. That was us just trying to get the last branches chipped and in. With a 1928 on turntable the spout is just over 2.8m tall so actually higher than the top of my chipbox which would mean having to open the lid every time or fire down so not packing it into the headboard. Also be close to the top of the shed door when putting it away. Still not got a price back from ts since speaking to them at the show and again on Monday after so that's not looking good on them!! Now it's down to going inline or hanging on to see if forst bring 1 to market by the end of the year.
  4. Yeh, might have been ok with a bigger vehicle with a proper full box but on a transit with a open top, terrible! Spoke to greenmech yesterday and the spout on the 19-28 turntable is a good 30cm higher than the quadchip which could be a problem and we will end up chipping like this all the time.
  5. I spy a gopro in that picture so I'm hoping a video is on its way, looks a pita matty.
  6. I should hope it is, probably 1 of the best built turntable machines on the market with the ££ and kg to match unfortunately. Is she typical vermeer and quite messy with where the chip go's?
  7. Revamp of an old thred. The 1928 on a turntable... how high is the discharge spout as if it ends up being much higher than my current quadchip it would be a pain filling the front of the chipbox without half the chip ending up on top of the box. whts the total kg on this moddle and has any 1 actualy used 1. just got a price of orange plant today and could be tempting.
  8. Good doing business with you guys, just need to get a price for the pelter com's for kesc helmets as they were so good when we had a play 1st thing sat.
  9. Fixed, I'm not professional at it yet.
  10. I could.splice a nice bowline into the end if you like ;-)
  11. That'll be why people happily pay me £150 a day on the odd occasion I do a climbing day for someone else ;-) But your absolutely correct it's very dependent on location and what you bring to the party but also how many other freelancers are available locally.
  12. Not hit 1 while milling but found quite a few in trees.
  13. Don't see the problem, the strap looks in good condition and perfectly rated for the load. ;-)
  14. Penny swing lift mounted on the back to lift it in at a push of a button.
  15. Three people is fine as long as your friends and no 1 has had a curry the.night before, it's rare I do as most.times have 2 vehicles going either with trailers or traffic lights needed at same time. Had 2 vosa checks and was fine because of the work we are doing on roadside trees for highways agency. Really not worth bringing it up too much on here as always ends up in a sh!t storm!
  16. About time you took the plunge and upgrade from the old yellow peril, you get a 150 tow behind?
  17. Jacksons, good to deal with and helpful for parts. That's about the best price now especially if it's a winch truck which is worth every extra penny!
  18. Rb44 is fantastic in my business model, no didn't get your message, payload is what makes it worth running that's for sure, couldn't get done what we do without it, just need a bigger chipper than the quadchip to follow it around and eat more faster as that's now the choke point on lots of job's.
  19. Been looking at the 8" model on turntable, hopefully get quote back next week and see if the fingers work out, hopefully they will as it looks a fantastically built machine.
  20. Key hole tension cut I'll have you know ;-) Alway good to have a practice now and again
  21. Nice set up, looks quite a long trailer?
  22. Two big pops today, get down and walk away, forgot a before pictures but fair size trees spreading all way to apex of shed roof next to it. Guess who forgot to take a big saw and prob best part of 2hrs to go get 1 but the mighty 560xp with 20" bar did the job
  23. Think it'll be a combination as I really like my dmm impact block for big stuff and I do have a habit of cutting large stuff ;-) On smaller stuff and redirected definitely as they are so convenient and light but this could all change when I get a triple ring set up.
  24. Of course, locking brummel splice with taped burry, got 2. 38.28 done so far. Got a smaller 1 to do for an idea I have and a bigger 1 to do something else.
  25. 1st go with some today as redirects in a big spreading chestnut, so quick to set, light to carry. Just need a triple or beast and block setup for main rigging point now. Need to get in touch with David and get more order as the mind has been going all day as to how different configuration would make life so much easier.
