  1. Penny swing lift mounted on the back to lift it in at a push of a button.
  2. Three people is fine as long as your friends and no 1 has had a curry the.night before, it's rare I do as most.times have 2 vehicles going either with trailers or traffic lights needed at same time. Had 2 vosa checks and was fine because of the work we are doing on roadside trees for highways agency. Really not worth bringing it up too much on here as always ends up in a sh!t storm!
  3. About time you took the plunge and upgrade from the old yellow peril, you get a 150 tow behind?
  4. Jacksons, good to deal with and helpful for parts. That's about the best price now especially if it's a winch truck which is worth every extra penny!
  5. Rb44 is fantastic in my business model, no didn't get your message, payload is what makes it worth running that's for sure, couldn't get done what we do without it, just need a bigger chipper than the quadchip to follow it around and eat more faster as that's now the choke point on lots of job's.
  6. Been looking at the 8" model on turntable, hopefully get quote back next week and see if the fingers work out, hopefully they will as it looks a fantastically built machine.
  7. Key hole tension cut I'll have you know ;-) Alway good to have a practice now and again
  8. Nice set up, looks quite a long trailer?
  9. Two big pops today, get down and walk away, forgot a before pictures but fair size trees spreading all way to apex of shed roof next to it. Guess who forgot to take a big saw and prob best part of 2hrs to go get 1 but the mighty 560xp with 20" bar did the job
  10. Think it'll be a combination as I really like my dmm impact block for big stuff and I do have a habit of cutting large stuff ;-) On smaller stuff and redirected definitely as they are so convenient and light but this could all change when I get a triple ring set up.
  11. Of course, locking brummel splice with taped burry, got 2. 38.28 done so far. Got a smaller 1 to do for an idea I have and a bigger 1 to do something else.
  12. 1st go with some today as redirects in a big spreading chestnut, so quick to set, light to carry. Just need a triple or beast and block setup for main rigging point now. Need to get in touch with David and get more order as the mind has been going all day as to how different configuration would make life so much easier.
  13. Nose cone of something? What you going to do with it?
  14. Gray git

    wow!!!

It's the genuine lack of concern in the woman's voice that got me.
  15. I'll mention it to the tree officer next time I have a sight meeting with him and see what the reaction is
  16. Now that'd be a cool place to gain permission to have a organised rec climb, some monsters to play in.
  17. Yeh but not going to turntable it and I find that so useful. Timberwolf were almost evasive when I asked for details and timescales on it and just tried to sell me a new version 150.
  18. No, fantastic looking machine, bit more expensive than I'd like but that was list so will have to see what they come back with next week back in the real world. But Forst put a spanner in last thing by telling me the 8" could be available on a turntable by the end of the year which would be an ideal machine. You get anything good Ic?
  19. Far more than I'll ever tell the wife I did ;-)
  20. Watching someone else top a conifer hedge for me. ;-) Really like storm damage work as it's always difficult and normally a real thinking job to do safely
  21. Someone sure did, sounded like a fight between a badger and a pitbull about 4 thismorning.:eek:
  22. Ah well new 1 for £235 inc vat so good deal had! Now the fart on getting it set as nice as the old 1 :-)
  23. My business, my harness so my choice I guess. Kinda think the same as you mark, some things I use are far beyond the self district date but look absolutely fine outer stuff like lanyards are lucky to last 18month never mind 5 years. I've got an adjustable bridge on mine so easy to swap out and just use 10mm line so that's not a problem.
  24. Lost count of how many bridges it's had now, nowt to do with impressing just not getting court out by not passing lola exam or a particularly observant site inspection spotting it. Hate new harnesses as they never fit like the old 1, just had a good look at it and a bit of fraying in places but ok, if there's a saving to be had I'll think about it if not I'll get 1 early next year.
