    Give me strength.I've a customer who has 2 cube of logs every summer,8" for an open fire.rings this year "could i have 10-12" as i now have a woodburner" "certainly madam",delivered on time on saturday,tipped outside garage for her to stack inside.proceeds to give me 10 quid less than last year adamant that was the price,so i let her off not being bothered to argue! she text me today "much less wood than last year,its not so high up the wall" i rang and explained it wouldn't be as the logs were longer, "that shouldn't make any difference" she said!! I've sold firewood for 20 years but this is a new one on me,she's a college lecturer,obviously not on physics or maths

    If you want to snap chains regularly use that cheap engine oil from wilkinsons or asda,i've had them go after a week from new,it don't lubricate or stick,wouldn't want to put it in a car engine

    both right.farmers like a deal and also can be odd!! i rent a corner of an old sileage clamp for a tenner a week.its concrete with a sleeper wall round it,i give him 3 days harvest help in august and it pretty much covers my rent for the year.he also owns the green waste site i tip at so get a good rate there too.he likes another set of eyes round the place,been told a couple of times about mess/sawdust etc so now i keep it spotless.i sharpen his saw occasionally and give him a fag,works well for both sides

    i've had both one and two man borers,would rather pound for pound use an old fashioned buddy/buddy system,one digs,one scoops,if you get my drift

    In a word yes,my ifor had these on when i bought it,they were Avon supersomething,put on i assume for carrying plenty of weight.They perished quite badly so replaced all 5 with 195/13c,think their rated at about 700kg each,thats what you need to check,hope this helps

    I have a 372 i bought new last autumn,its thinned 4 acres of oak and done little else,i find it heavy for everyday use and i'm getting old! Its still on original sprocket,plug etc,new pro-lite bar cos the original husky chocolate one melted.I've just had an operation and will be tractor driving soon till september so it will gather dust,i'll take 400 quid for it

    No mr borders,i'm not a gipsy,or even a gypsy.I'm a well respected member of society and hopefully this forum? (c'mon lads!) I did buy my dog in the avatar from travellers but thats where the association ends,i take it you assume this because i have no 38/39 but own a 200t? may the good lord strike me down

    I have no cs38 or 39.I have been topping conifers for donkeys years (feels like it).I happen to think i am time served and very good at it.my customers are happy,i'm happy,and i have all my limbs.I find it increasingly hard to buy a 200t when i need one but usually get through.rules are rules and i'm all for prevention of people hurting themselves,they can buy an 88 though with no ticket!

    wouldn't bother mate,they have no record of the windblow ticket i passed in 1995 and still haven't,even told them my assessor's name who is unfortunately no longer with us.hope they find it when the HSE call when i've left a widow,or she'll get nothing

    No worries mate,i saw the word 'theft' and it got me going lol.I was insured from new and cancelled it a year before it was nicked (like an idiot) because i assume so many get nicked all our premiums go up? thats a tax on the careful i reckon! After reading the chipper at the traffic lights thread in dudley nothings safe obviously

    It wasn't insured mate,thats why i've hunted high and low and got a result,potentially.Its my trailer,i have the paperwork,i've taken legal advice and if it goes out the back door the force in question which i won't name will have a case to answer.End of the day i just want back whats rightfully mine and worked hard for,i'm sure many feel the same.sorry for ranting

    Ta for all the encouragement guys,latest update is the officer dealing with it (different county) don,t answer his phone,my county's ordered it to be seized but apparently it takes time.My trailer dealer and Ifor been great.My local PCSO reckons other forces drag feet cos it don't affect their clear up rate,only the county where it was stolen!!! Beginning to think i should raise a posse and collect it myself!

    cheers geoff,and everyone else too.I'f i'd been insured i wouldn't have probably been bothered.cleaned me out replacing everything,my mrs and mother even chipped in.just gotta find 4 saws and a long reach now but i'm still on the case
