  1. illinois
  2. I bought the echo because my local dealer pushed me onto them and not looked back, all my trimmers, long reach, pole saw and toppers are echo now,top stuff. I bought the dolmar after you raved about them so much,if it loses tomorrow be it on your head TCD
  3. trust me I'm rooting for it
  4. well I have a 133 but its pensioned off
  5. half a day left felling some poplars tomorrow so taking all in the armoury out as a bit of fun just to see who's top dog! probably set up 10 small cuts on a stopwatch then 10 big ones.armoury consists of: 242xp 13" .325 254xp 15" .325 550xp 13" .325 560xp 15" .325 echo 550 16" .325 echo 610 18" 3/8 ms460 20" 3/8 ms660 25" 3/8 dolmar 5105 16" .325 All full chisel chain My money's on the 550xp but we'll see,will post up some results tomorrow
  6. threw away the crap chain it came with and the spark arrestor,it dances.stripped it in a childish way before use and it's well made.it's breaking in on poplar tops Monday, watch this space
  7. Dolmar 5105 from stateside, turned up today on my birthday!!
  8. 18 generally but experimentally nicked the 16 off the 550 and its luverly
  9. I've had a 610 for 12 months now,its fab.we run 560xp and ms362 in same class so a good comparison.excellent build quality and anti vibe,a pleasure to use in the hands, economical too.it has its place in our armoury, deals with both hard and softwood well, not a saw you can chuck around though, slightly cumbersome for 60cc.this week its been converting very large poplar tops, gobbles them and asks for more.i run 72lpx narrow kerf on it.as for warranty it just feels like its never gonna break, touch wood
  10. Here we go then,6" ash pole.gobbed and back cut with the 460 using the tip, jammed back on me.picked up the 362,gobbed the pathetic pole the way it wanted to go 2 foot above the jammed 460,finished the cut pulling the 362 out in one hand and trying to grab the 460.said ash pole then barber chairs to about 10ft,goes up in the air, splits and lands square on the trapped 460,squarely in the tiny gap between the tree and the saw head.GRAHAM wins 1st prize for closest,Rover gets second for excellent philosophy and mr blair gets token consideration for worrying about the saw head
  11. Ok,last clue's,remember the prize is worth having if you husky big boys! Involves 2 saws and a chair.1st prize to nearest or funniest with free postage,2nd prize is a big drink to anyone who can find me a mcconnel pto sawbench within a fortnight,3rd prize is a ms460 bar and chain
  12. my second in command is of irish descent so your still warm!
  13. not really but plausible
  14. midnight! get your answers in,them there husky boys must be drooling over a 24" all they need now is a saw to run it
  15. not that unprofessional!!!
  16. If we put all the answers together it would be warmish! I'm dying to disclose my unprofessionalism today so will confess and announce winner/funniest around bedtime.I think rovers currently in the lead with uri geller!
  17. very little wind,a gentle breeze almost
  18. no,heavy thin,ash,sycamore,4" poles to 18" stuff.to be fair it was a sequence of events but no more clues!
  19. the 460's weeks old and untouched stevie,i breathed relief!
  20. Something went wrong today clearly! seen a few bars broken or bent but this ones clearly a perfect chicane.Just for fun i have a 24" bar and chain to fit a husky 372 in a scabbard in vgc,no longer needed which goes to the funniest/closest answer as to how this happened.Only thing i'll say is we were in the woods, good luck!
  21. No,us firewood guys would offer people like your good self the chance of something of your benefit numerous times until we got to the age of around 35 and realised it was mostly a waste of time and chop a 5 ton log into 8 cubic metres of firewood! No offence intended but its muck and brass
  22. Sounds like the teacher dug his heels in after your son declined to remove it.I could see his point if it was a sports lesson maybe.I would want an explanation, maybe he's a pacifist or the order came from above him, ridiculous as it is
  23. I don't always agree with this mans comments, but tonight matthew he's right
  24. Andy its a shame! £1.50h/f in 91,£1 h/f in 01,depreciation says that by now £0,50p,try and get even that!! start your own strawberry punnet factory, you'll get a few out of a butt!
  25. Sounds good to me TG,i'm only in north hants....................................oh sorry thats northants, probably kill the haulage! sure you'll get plenty of takers though, good luck
