  2. yes,i reset the carb myself as I wasn't happy how she was running after a day or two,then I had her 'factory' set up by a guy that knows more than me.i'll catch mr shavey and maybe even mr spud for a diagnosis

  4. Can't believe it,i have lots of saws but this little wasp is my favourite,stopped suddenly today,stripped it tonight,heavily scored piston and pinched ring.bought stateside so my warranty is probably worthless.not missed a beat in 8 months,gutted

    belter I got mine from stateside and fretted a bit about warranty but it just don't break! Sounds like a go-cart,revs like a wasp,cuts like a 550,teriffic! I'd buy 10 if i had the money and space

  9. I'd say around 300kg green but I could be wrong.heaviest I've had on my truck is usually conifer that can come in at 2 ton for roughly 5 cube,so around 400kg,lots of variables though I suppose,hope this helps

  11. Thanks chaps,will have a crack tomorrow.spud I've noticed the carb I removed has a screw that has torn the thread,one of the four on the top,guessing that's not good,is there a remedy for this being such a fine screw/thread or is it a bin job?
  12. I have a 254xp that has a very good spark but will not fire up.I've tried another carb off a good runner and still nothing.piston and pot look in very good order,fuel line is clear etc,bit stumped now,any ideas? thanks guys
  13. Had both older 372 and now x torque.nothing in it for me.new model is slower to run down to idle.a trifle annoying but i'm not snedding with it!

  16. Just rebuilding a 357 for a mate and a quick question.The wiring from the ignition has a long and a short wire both with spades on.i can see the short one connects to the front of the switch but cant see where the long one goes any help appreciated,sorry no pics
  17. Had one for 4 years now,shocking ride,shocking off tarmac,small in the cab but great at everything else! Ultra reliable,will carry a full load of chip or logs no problem.not the quickest full with a tw 150 behind but solid as a rock

  19. 3 pairs of elten hydrofells for me.lasted 2 years,18 months and 14 months respectively.either at 43 years old I'm getting faster and working harder or these boots are dropping in quality,i know where my money is.airstreams I think for me next
