  1. after my break-in i got some smart water from the local crime prevention officer. Each bottle of this stuff has a unique signature almost like dna so they know whose equipment it is and it only shows up under uv light.
  2. to expand on topcat's idea: ARBTALK.CO.UK IT'S A TREE THING, YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND
  3. i think steve has mentioned this site in another thread but it never harms to have it sort scattered around the site in various threads i suppose.
  4. ben, this can be done via pm can't it? If steve as the webmaster says no links then we should respect his wishes shouldn't we? I'm not saying you're wrong but there are ways around it.
  5. i am igottacabstar on arbtalk:ohmy:
  6. i thought this as well, dave, when he had a dig at me in a previous thread on here.
  7. transit swb but with semi-high roof is a good combo for a first vehicle for garden/tree work. Another reasonable vehicle is the old style citroen dispatch which is only about eighteen inches shorter than an old style swb transit.
  8. i have the same john, i think it's called old age!
  9. the bike stunt was spectacular, as for the truck what do expect from a native of the country that invented most extreme sports?
  10. another way of doing it is to approach the bloke doing the work and ask if there are any positions on the go or if he needs an extra pair of hands at any point, leaving contact number etc ands say you'll post him a copy of cv
  11. is that why you were sat where you were on the ahs stand at the apf ed? direct line of sight to the vintage machinery display.
  12. is this the programme that the two lads from kew made? if so its already been on bbc2 and featured one of our members

until you start thrashing it and then the fuel tank falls off and wrecks shockers and prop shafts. expensive:sneaky2:
  17. have we met before swb? Thats one way to get rid of annoying people when you're trying to have a quiet drink in the pub.
  18. thou shalt drinkest thine tea with two sugars whilst walketh thou with thine harness on
  19. the chainsaw sounds like a stihl ms440
  20. this is what i was taught at college and learnt from experience.
  21. i think the chinese have the right idea when it comes to capital punishment: single 9mm pistol round to back of head and send the bill to the family.
  22. you should have followed them and applied ms880 where the sun don't shine with a blunt chain on it. Although this could have been a bit hasty as there could always be more of the ***** waiting for you to do just that.
  23. ian, i'd report this to the police as these incidents might be related with them happening so close together ie same gang of scrotes.
  24. i have the kask helmet which i bought at the apf which has the fighter pilot visor, i wear glasses and get on just fine with it, i suppose it depends on your glasses and the frames (i have oakley frames which are quite a low profile frame as they are for sports use and so they fit under the visor nicely.) Apparently the stein helmet is a kask helmet just rebadged (the cheeky buggers!!)

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
