  1. Alasdair, as was said earlier if you want a defender, go for one if you are prepared for a love hate relationship with it. Once you get one, they get under your skin and you'll kick yourself if you don't get one. Just don't go charging into buying one like i did, have a look at a few, take someone who knows what they are looking for with you to look at it or get the AA or RAC to give it a once over. If the seller (if it's a private sale) doesn't like it, then just walk away, they're hiding summat. Here speaketh the voice of bitter experience:mad1:
  2. LRM magazine does two t-shirts which say it all about land rovers really: 1) Existentialism explained- i'm a land rover owner therefore i am and 2) It's a land rover thing, you wouldn't understand long live lode lane:001_tt1:
  3. should be http://www.witham-sv.com
  4. Take someone who knows about land rovers and what to look for when you go look at one, i didn't and bought what looked like a peach but turned out to be a complete raspberry and it is now costing me about £500 to put right what was wrong with it. Also go for one of the tdi's as the 2.5TD is the most gutless engine ever to come out of lode lane. Get hold of a couple of the land rover magazines and have a look through the classifieds or try these websites: http://www.withamsv.com http://www.ljacksonandco.com http://www.exmod.co.uk

  8. woodpicker if you look at my profile you'll see i'm 31 so i was 10 (same age as buzz) when the storm hit. The school i was at is near holmbury st mary in surrey and backed onto a huge FC plantation which was mostly flattened and the school was cut off for about three days until the road could be cleared.

I also got a auto-safe for in either the land rover or the van and some nice warm socks. I must be the only male not to get any shower gel and deodorant sets this year.
