  1. Not our fault you were hiding behind the rhodie we were using as target practice. The problem was the ammunition load, somebody overcooked the burgers on the barbecue.
  2. they're also quite good for shooting mods in the nether regions at arbtalk get-togethers.
  3. Isn't the Bayley Arms the one we had salt burgers in and the sparrow legs?

Sat here with tears rolling down my cheeks and the wife's looking at me as if I am a complete loon
  5. Did you know it was a vampire when you got it Borris? or did you find out after you had done the conversion?
  6. Technically that's a series 2a forward control not a 101 which was developed specifically for the army to tow the then new 105mm light field gun.
  7. I know you want to keep away from the big names but have you had a look at the arborwear hi viz tshirts which come in long and short sleeve versions. They've been designed to be practical and hi-viz ie I think the areas which are likely to get the dirtiest (front) are either black or grey whilst the rest of the shirt is hi-viz.
  8. Leeds utd thing peatff.
  9. Good man MOT.
  10. Just get the suppliers contractors who are qualified and authorised to carry out works on the lines. All carried out free and gratis.
  11. Not sure; you would have to look at their website. I know they have done a proper tree surgery body on an Isuzu grafter.
  12. They do all sorts hamdogg; if it can be made out of ally, they'll make it. I have one of their hard tops which is based on a farriers top.
  13. Try n and j at clitheroe.
  14. Whereabouts was that MrNick? In thirsk myself.
  15. The customer can specify what is known as a restricted cut which means that the bare minimum is taken off to allow clearance; usually works out that the cutters will be back each year to snip off any regen.
  16. Have a look at Exeter Friendly Society insurance.
  17. By carrying out pre-works inspections, they are acting within the law by doing what is reasonably practicable.
  18. I wear glasses and I find that Oakley fit me the best; Currently on third set of frames due to one pair being in my van when it was nicked and I was wearing my Oakley sunnies at the time. The stable of oakleys at chez penfold currently stands at: Crosshairs with vr 28 polarized lenses Casing (ordinary script) intervene 4.0 (ordinary script) OTG goggles (cant remember the exact name)
  19. would network rail have an exemption along the same lines as powerlines and highways? That would blow the BTP's case right out of the water.
  20. What do people think of the Ponsse 'scorpion' configuration?
  21. That would be the Royal Mint ( another labour privatised institution)

    Mag driil

Try magdrill.co.uk. they hire machines out from £20 a week.
  23. Nice little machine. Handy for thinnings I would guess.
  24. Does the other lad have more qualifications such as a pre-97 or B/C+E licence or Level 4? Does he have more experience in arb? All these things can add up to why the boss thinks it is worth paying the other lad more than you. If the groundies are used to doing the job with you then they have got stuck in a routine of how the job runs, the new guy might go about things differently to you which has upset the groundies? All these have to be taken into account mate.
  25. How many lads are they throwing at it Craig? Three lads is only two days which is about what I would expect for doing all that especially the plumbing side.
