Andrew the only problem with the tru-pulse is that you have to keep looking through the eyepiece to read off the data whereas with the impulse laser it is on a display at the rear also the impulse is more accurate than the trupulse hence why NG preferred the readings from the impulse for measurements.
  13. As said above you only do it once as cleaning all the protection out of your sprocket is a pita. I did something similar, end of the day on a friday and I guess I just took my eye off the ball for a microsecond,got in an awkward position and the next thing I knew I got a whack on the inside of my thigh and a load of kevlar thread flying around.

  15. When I worked on NG, we had a nice laser that worked it all out for you; didn't really matter where you stood distance-wise. Think it was an impulse laser:confused1:

  17. when i was at college starting my HND in hort (which I didn't finish), we were taught never to walk on a frosty lawn; woe betide us if any of us took a shortcut across the turf lecturers pride and joy of a crown bowling green on a frosty morning on the way to our lectures.

  22. When I did my FdSc, we didn't cover utilities in any form whatsoever. Maybe just covering the basics of utilities ie regarding wayleaves and exemptions as well as the extra legislation.

  24. Why not buy a 130 perentie:- galvanised chassis, 3.8 Isuzu diesel engine and some come with 6x6.
  25. When I did my NC at Houghall, we had block practical sessions of a week or two weeks and then in between we had theory and the odd practical session.
