Rob, Jason (leyburn Lad) is a very good teacher with lots of experience. Wouldn't hesitate to do courses with him. Only suggested TKF as they are reasonably local to you.

Where I work the policy is to wear ripeur gloves whenever we use silkys as these offer the best protection even compared to hexarmour.
