  1. He dont mind - this is interesting. Yup. Could not road tow two trailers. Our site was nice n flat an we were handballing stuff in ( log slices) still did 60 ton a day. K
  2. We were fuel wood chipping in a field and the jiggling around with two tractors was a pain, looked a better plan - two tips a day usually. K Not put a tow hitch on back of Heizo and blart it into a rear trailer? I thought of it using one , years ago . K

  4. Might be worth pointing out to him that as he is transporting 'waste' not 'recycle material ' he needs a 'waste license' or he is liable for a fine. K
  5. Hmmm. Shot in the dark - would be the washer on yr blade to press it against the star. Bigger washer or bigger bolt head. K
  6. Contributes towards Written Warning - I would check driveshaft n reset tyre tracking ... With that bloke bearing the cost. K
  7. Stop spoilin his fun. Plus it needs a coat of hammerite. K
  8. Everyone on here enjoys my offended grumpy bugger of a morning , pal , I enjoy hearing abt tree stuff on occasion, stuff like this is tedious to the extreme. One thing 'lockdown' did give many - was a sense of community purpose or change to do things . K
  9. Mr Stubby, on a daily basis I ave to wade through peples perceptions of all of this in Town - which puts me at actual great risk. Common sense seems to have left this country abt March 2020. Wish I had...... K
  10. I certainly would concur on this. My view off the cuff , Mature tree, V.High target values, no obvious damage or decay in crown or trunk, previously pruned ( badly ) hard cover for root development, pollution and salt in growing area. 6monthly inspection after thorough first examination. Expected Safe Lifespan 10 years. Which is just from the image , and trees like that cover most of London. And I was working in this area for 2 weeks and there are FAR more obvious Hazard tree candidates in Ealing ! Scarey occurrence if 'unforeseen ' fits this tree ? K
  11. ( statistics , sturgeon, blah , bit of wood outside - go do summat with it )
  12. You ARE Trigger Andy now ? admit it ! You have taken on his cloak of bile and crown of spite , dear god and I thought this tone of posting had ended. K
  13. Aye ?? Not heard but never liked the creepy bugger ? K
  14. No calibre on case, which is odd. Also, didn't make the copper driving bands on shell, cos that was effort - could just use old piston rings ? K
  15. ..... Had always wanted to make the shell case that would have fitted in there to give it historical significance ( I think it would have been the famous French 75 - quick firing gun, forerunner of more modern artillery from WW1 ) so on recently getting my new small bench lathe and an old oak table leg...... I did.. ? so now the houseclearance people will get a shock when i pass on ? K
  16. So... This story starts over 40 yrs ago as a small child on holiday in Dunkirk, i bought a shell case from flea market for 20 francs ( they had sold out on fleas) which then languished in Dads shed until he died ......
  17. Moment tree almost falls on pedestrians WWW.BBC.CO.UK A falling tree in Ealing nearly collapsed on to pedestrians at a crossroads. The category for this under VALID ? k
  18. Astounding! Where are those craftsmen now ? K
  19. @David Humphries i just didnt know Massaria got THAT bad ? K
  20. And in a complete turnip in yr boots, some tree news - Ealing of all places, down the road from me on Sunday. K Moment tree almost falls on pedestrians WWW.BBC.CO.UK A falling tree in Ealing nearly collapsed on to pedestrians at a crossroads.
  21. Yer, tinfoil in me pants - had waitrose lasagne on Thursday, still got the shits ? ... not even joking fella. K
  22. Or blabber ing on abt how much they enjoying furlough . K
  23. I would give any lad a day of my time, if the guts n potential is there, if they thick or lacking, that can be improved upon- if they charmers or chancers that will be their last day with me . K
