  10. Bit late - plus they already been told off abt the complete lack of joined up thinking on ecology assets of Network Rail inspite of at least one of their top bods telling them so. K
  11. Anyway, got my teeth into this - asymmetric warfare..... yup build a bloody useless flat top , to sail ( mostly ) around the World ( at great tax payers expense ) . then jump on our biggest buyer of Defence purchasing to 5 billion squids, ignore Human rights issues abroad n then think Army is going to help in this ?? 14. Thankyou - I couldn't remmbr wot our one was, those are abt 16mm bolts I think. Taper heads also. And big wheel giving plenty of smack. On a slant . Think Forst have seriously f#cked up this one. K
  15. Hang on a minute... 310nm torque is 228 ft/lb.... wot size are those bolts again ????? That is a huge torque . Cylinder head bolts on most engines are around 60 -80 ft / lb on a 16mm bolt . K
  16. Basically - buy a Bandit. They are bomb proof and easily rebuild able with off the shelf parts. Large and ugly but will not let you down . Regularly see 20 yr old machines still blarting chip by the tonne, all day every day. K

  21. Not as big as my shoulders were ? was a right job getting a lot of shit logs n crap rid of in the lower field. And it underscored how good the heizo blade design is as we were resharpening every morning which is easy when blades are credit card sized.. K
  22. Those holes do look way to close to the edge. They dont look too close - they Are too close. I would like to put my vernier on those. We have a Forst in the yard, so will ( when i get time) get blades off fitter. K
  23. Go see post above - that is a flawed design of the blade . K
  24. Its an engineering rule of thumb that a hole must be at least half its diameter away from the edge or corner. That aint it - right there. K ( thanks for posting that - it may help the lad who posted earlier)
