1. 59% of 3 quotes is not bad Tim... Ty
2. Surely, if you look at your quote serial numbers against your invoice numbers the percentages are easy to establish year by year no? That's how we do it anyway. Ty
3. I wish you'd block me... I really do. This online relationship is just not working for me. Let's go back to using 'grindr.com' Ty
4. Yes it was a joke. Sorry it went over your head. I'll aim lower next time. Ty:001_tt2:
5. I'm so tired at the moment, I'm finding the 3km commute to the yard rather tough myself... Ty:blushing:
6. Here we are continually removing many street trees due to pavement lifting and residents complaints about 'dechets' leaves, dust, residues, fruit... Unless a tree can be found which poses no risk, makes no mess and costs nothing to maintain then we will lose almost every urban 'street' tree within a generation. Parks are the future of 'urban' trees. Ty
7. Not in your lingo Skyhuck obviously... 25k plus posts and my daughters name is...I have a daughter? Now that is a joke! Oh lighten up Skyhuck. Ty
8. Ah...Mr Bolam! Ty
9. Begs the question. If we are winning 70% of the quotes. Who is running 3 men a truck and chipper on the remaining 30%... Ty:confused1:
10. Light weight... Ty
11. He can't see it for man boobs... Ty
12. Decathalon do an inexpensive merino base layer range. I have 3 and rate them highly although thicker than the Kiwi brands and not as fine they are more robust. Ty
13. O.K being serious now. I find that chasing larger contracts means I spend pro-rata less time quoting than on smaller domestic work thus freeing me up for...well work. Ty
14. Your wife buys size 10 Airstreams...? Ty
15. Like Mick, I get 99% of my quotes simply by offering to beat by 20% any genuine written quote. Taking the bread out of the mouths of starving Arborists kids (as long as they are not my kids) is what I'm all about. I'm now off down the Truckers fir cizzer wiv Jon... Ty
16. It"s a bit early to predict but stay in touch with me at [email protected] I take my paternity leave late May so our company may need an extra hand climbing/groundwork. Regards
17. I meant to add, we walked away from the job today not due to the 90kph wind and rain but because when the client sees the stumpgrinder is not an effing corkscrew that lifts stumps out with a satisfactory 'pop' he will throw his arms up in that Gallic manner and cry "ZOOT ALORS Le Perfidious Anglais!!!" Ty
18. At short notice from the client (Headmaster) who gave us a fixed date, we felled 5 poplars at a school in town. Now the Headmaster won't pay us until we re-instate the grass as we churned a small corner of his playing field up with 2 tractors a 4x4 and a truck. FFS did he think we where going to airlift the trees out...? Ty:sneaky2:
19. Thuya is good but slower growing. I'd have preffered to plant hornbeam as the property would be largely unoccupied during the Winter. Ty
20. Because we will have the contract to cut it twice a year remuneration pro-rata it's growth. I think a neatly trimmed conifer hedge has it's place and screening a house from 10'000 commuters is the right plant right place. Ty
21.

Hello,

How has it been with Tom?

I've got a great deal of work ahead and am busy trying to recruit a climber and a groundworker for landscaping.

Regards

22. Cheers Tim I have a week of fencing (panels) if your interested? Ty
23. 2 employees, our arb consultant and landscape architect are in their mid 60's although I don't use them 5 days a week dragging branches in the rain. The main qualities I am looking for is productivity and quality of work. If you have those then you must already have enough experience. Ty
24. Here is Fridays good news. A quote accepted for the plantation of a screen of leylandii in 65litre pots 3m high to hide the new metro line in Rennes from a property. I never thought I'd love leylandii so much! Project starts on 29th Feb. We will be working with some of the biggest names regionally in public works. My plant supplier has been calling me weekly in anticipation. Ty
25. Spread the word for me Mr Fox. Ty
