  1. I've looked through the tech specs but can't find a maximum reach/height for the telescopic arm. Any ideas? Ty
  2. Idiot. It's far 'fewer'... Ty
  3. I'm thinking about de-valueing our saws by painting parts of them pink, scoring our name into the plastic with a hot needle or engraving the bars. Ty:sneaky2:
  4. Have you tried writing to your local M.P or the Daily Mail...? Ty:001_smile:
  5. These guys are a a large local 'small Ag' and motoculture dealer, tractors, chippers, quads, large pro mowers etc so plenty of daily hydraulics YET... they don't seem to have the means OR the will to get this done. If it was an old machine I'd avoid the dealer but seeing as it's got less than 50hours on the clock I'm putting warranty issues through them rather than pay for work myself. Ty
  6. ARRRGH! The dealership do not believe the advice given to me direct from Greenmech! They are stalling on getting a pressure test as they are sceptic about this issue even existing. I've shown them the videos too! 207 BAR/3000PSI should be the correct pressure. Ty
  7. I find one of the best ways to get rid of annoying hangers-on is to lend them a saw with 'issues' then blame them for abusing it. I've been hoping to do this to Dempsey but he got in first by offering to lend me an old Husky with no chain brake... Ty
  8. Us too! No less than half a dozen nuts bolts and washers underneath the new 190 found whilst sweeping up. After seemingly hours of searching and alot of anxiety waiting for something to fly apart I called the factory direct and was told that sometimes the assembly line leave a handful inside and forget about them...ha ha ha... Ty
  9. We have a tractor, truck, chipper and a mower all on lease hire. It is less expensive than a bank loan and easier to obtain but there again, I'm in another country. Ty
  10. Our Quadchip is rapidly becoming unsaleable at 900+hours due to stress fractures . In fact, I've even a small piece on front of me as I type, a panel 'peg', alloy weld, just found it on the floor as I raking up. Ty
  11. When I did mine in 2008, I worked part-time before and registered for working tax credits. As a result my course was free. I only paid the exam fees. Ty
  12. Cheers Jonny! Ty
  13. It's not one from Lemon Plant, I might be a 'bit' of a fool at times but I'm not THAT stupid:glare: Ty
  14. Spoke to Mac at G.M. Sent him the videos. Getting the machines hydro circuit pressure tested (Something the dealer should have done as we already requested) Ty
  15. Yeh, Quadchips a star in comparison. Ty
  16. On our new G.M 190 This machine is NOT as powerfull as the machine we had on test for 2 days/6hours work. The rollers just stop turning and jam often on very small branches, once on nothing more than a handfull of thin fruit tree twigs. Much of this I have on video which I have showed the dealer and mechanic. To their credit they had the machine in, changed the hydro oil, adjusted the springs and ran a trailer of brash through it with no problems. We took back the machine and used it Friday for the first time since and hey presto... I filmed several of the jams, small branches with one managing to stop both rollers multiple times before I just gave up. No large pegs, no odd sized material, just regular stuff a CS100 could swallow without even dropping revs let alone a 45hp 7.5" new machine. The right hand roller often gets material wrapped around it and jams more often than the left. If any-one is curious to see a video then please visit my personal FB page Here: https://www.facebook.com/stuart.lejardinieranglais I'm baffled and clearly so is the dealer. Ty
  17. It does here, I tested it before posting. Ty
  18. If your working 6 days a week yet the thought of finance worries you then ask yourself this. "Am I too cheap...?" Ty
  19. Here: https://www.grube.de/sioen-jacket-poroforst-sport-92-133-s-variation.html I might give this one a punt. Interesting site in all. I'm sending another 2 Raintech Stihl waterproofs back to Honeybros as the main zips have pulled out at the bottom and can't be replaced economically. I like the design very much but this makes 4 jackets now which have gone at the zip. Ty
  20. Of all your overheads in business, time is one of the most important 'variable' costs. Finance for example is a 'fixed' cost. The more you invest in anything that saves time the more competative you will be. I spent the best part of 5k on a CS100 and to be fair I used it above and beyond the call of duty. It made me money and when I sold it on I got an excellent price for it. However, not saying the CS100 or it's type are bad machines at all BUT... If I'd bit the bullet and gone for a used 6" machine for the same money in the begining, my labour costs would have a been a fraction of of those required to feed the CS100. I would have increased my profit and been able to undertake far larger jobs from the very start thus advancing the business. Ty
  21. What foot spa did Mendiplogs get in the end...? Or have I lost the thread of the thread? Ty:biggrin:
  22. If I'd listened to Mick Dempsey along time ago and bought a 6" chipper instead of a CS100 I'd have advanced my business by 2 years. Trouble was, I didn't know if it would take off for us and chose to invest small rather than go large. Don't make the same error. CS100 is a good machine though but will hold you back if growth is on the cards. Ty
  23. I'm not normally swayed by popular culture being so long away from U.K T.V However, I do get to meet some real 'Boy's Own' heros from time to time. Up near Dinan I worked for a former Spitfire pilot who at every opportunity filled my head with tales 'derring do' sounding like a feature in 'Warlord' comic. Across in the Eure near Chateau St Georges Motel, I did some cable bracing on a foul day for a chap who flew Hawker Tempests over Europe then when hostilities looked like coming to an end volounteered as a glider pilot in East Asia. Ty
  24. That set me up for the day:lol: Ty
  25. Ladies, Ladies... Please can't we go back to discussing yard theft and devising ways of disposing of the thief's body once all our alarms and booby traps have been sprung...? Ty
