  1. I saw some drone footage of you and SWORE BLIND you ripped the bark on a cut. You'll never work North of the Loire for that one mate! Ty
  2. Could that plant survive in Europe? Ty
  3. True but I get alot of local work from older members of the Catholic church so that might go down as well as if I actually looked like the Muslim convert I'm supposed to be... Ty:001_rolleyes:
  4. On the JD1026r problem. The dealership are stumped and John Deere have clammed up and are not responding to the dealerships emails. They have changed the oil twice to no effect on the loader arm. I suspect that the manifold is blocked with swarf and needs flushing out. The dealer is going to reverse the loader arm action so we will at least be able to get some use out the machine until a solution can be found. Merde Alors! On top of this, the Roma Gypsies are in and around town, the crime rate has rocketed and I have scattered all our chainsaws etc around various hidy holes as we are ripe pickings. The local chainsaw shop got done Thursday morning at 3pm and the Gendarmes are 100% sure it was the Roma. The break in lasted no more than 10min We are on the Gendarmes drive by list. Trucks parked in front of gate and barn doors and inside workshop I have left 'trip hazards' like up turned rakes and metal bars set to fall and clatter if brushed. Ty:sneaky2:
  5. Hello Mick, Sorry, I have re-visted this thread before now. The G.M190 issue has not been resolved. The dealer picked it up 2 weeks ago from our yard and it sat at the dealership un-touched until I picked it up last night as I have jobs which I priced for this machine and I wish to service the Quadchip (now on 950hours) I berated the owner of the dealership for the customer care which is rather less than serious. I told Madame Masse and her head of workshop that in the U.K we have an expression suitable for this situation. IT'S NOT ####### ROCKET SCIENCE! I informed them that unless this issue is resolved I will sell the machine, move on from G.M France and buy another make. I used the 190 today to chip lumpy heads of Laurel from a hedge we lowered. The rollers seized 3 times and I have 3 more videos to add to my collection. Ty:thumbdown:
  6. Looking at your box... 500-700kg? Ty
  7. I was caught last year and fined for having 1.8t in the Iveco double cab almost 5m3 This prompted the purchase of the 7t. The GM190 makes a finer chip which weighs more per m3 than the coarser stuff made by the Quadchip. I've been to the weighbridge a few times and the 190's woodchip (Lawson cypress) weighs in at around 400kg per m3 When the 7t is full it sits very low but still manages to pull well enough. Ty
  8. I dunno Mick, our 7t with a full tool box and 3 lads leaves 3.6t capacity for a box of 8m3 which is about the max amount of woodchip weight anyway. I must say, the Brits make far better boxes than the French who seem to have no imagination at all... Ty
  9. Probably good to combine a leaflet campaign with a night stalker armed with a spraypack to dose leylandii hedges... Ty:001_cool:
  10. I'm now letting it be know that my groundy not long ago got out of prison for killing his Granny cos she forgot to include a fiver in his birthday card the mean old witch. Might help speed up payements... Ty
  11. Bingo! Look what I found growing in a garden today..
  12. Yeh but your rubbish though... Ty:001_tongue:
  13. Hello, I changed the hydro oil after 450hours replacing the filter and cleaning the suction screen which has a long thin magnet inside which traps metal particles. This is easy to clean with petrol and an airline. Now at 660hours we lost some power to the front loader. It would not drop. The power steering also became stiff but only intermittently. I handed it over to the J.D dealer as we had alot on. They changed the 'manifold' for the front loader which for 2 hours worked. Then the same problems returned. Lucky for me a limited number of manifolds of this model have had issues so this went under warranty. Now the dealer has drained the oil and changed the filter and upon removing the suction screen found it to be split. Now the mechanic then told me that it was I who must have broken it during the previous service and that 2 of the 3 magnets where missing. Now, I insisted that no way was the suction screen forced of damaged by myhand and that therewas only one magnet not 3 present. As luck would have it, I actually took images on my phone of the parts and was able to prove the presence of a single magnet. Still the mystery of the split suction screen remained a mystery and I was questioning my competance even to make a cup of tea un-aided when I stumbled upon this article: The Truth About Hydraulic Suction Strainers | Hydraulics At Work And several more which mention that suction screens do fail and this causes additional problems of their own when metal from these fine micron sized screens somehow gets further up into the system. One thing I am puzzled about is just how could anything pass the actual hydro oil filter itself and end up lodged in the loader manifold? Ty
  14. 36c+ tomorrow so it is shorts for me. Landscaping though in a suntrap garden near Rennes airport. Ty
  15. Monday morning and the itching stopped last night. I have scabby arms from scratching and bloody sheets to change. A bit sleep deprived as well... Ty
  16. Here, when installing fencing or decking, we buy ready mix which is poured direct into our truck. Same mix as used for kerb stones. Normally a quarter or half m3 depending on our estimated progress. A product to slow setting time is added to the mix. Half m3 weighs 1200kg and costs 60euros or 50 Brexit pounds. Postcrete seems to be a very British thing. Ty
  17. There was no ivy in brash but I did climb one tree to remove a couple of stubborn hangers. The insects are damn near invisible and if you do see one normally it's too late. There are simply too many trees here to engage in a comprehensive control programme. This country has little in the way of tree related legislation. Locally, only a few urban pines have traps installed. Ty
  18. I've been got! Dragging oak branches to the chipper Saturday. Torso, arms and hands. My toddler emptied the washing machine yesterday evening and tried on my dirty t'shirt now she too has red welts and bumps over her body. I previously used to think I had a bed bug infestation, then maybe allergic to ivy but it's always oak which is the common denominator. I going for a bike ride to take my mind of the itching then a cold shower after. Warm showers make it worse. Ty
  19. Mike Dempsey has emailed to say he is out of hospital now and regrets that last pint at lunch. Ty:laugh1:
  20. Probably not, the sheer size of the silver spoon he is carrying about in his mouth meant we had to get a new Jag on mobility allowance. I'll just sign the company over to him as a 16th birthday present... Ty
  21. I'm sorry to read this Steve. Sad to think people have such a low opinion of this trade when I for instance enjoy it so much and would be quite happy for my son to take over the management of our company should his life take him in that direction. Ty:blushing:
  22. You treating yourself to the Estonian hand car wash in the Super U car park whilst you chog down a Big Mac and fries? Ty
  23. Looks like a Sunday drivers car! Ty
  24. Could be Sussex in 2050... Ty
  25. What made you re-boot this thread from 2009...? Ty
