  2. bit worried this could be a factor in my choice.
  3. cool thanks for feedback, looks like it might be time to bust out the good old credit card!
  4. had a quick go on some carbon distels and really liked them, however on reading hear they are said to be fragile on hard surfaces, iam careful with my gear and dont do lots of town work so will they last??? oh and are the alloy ones the exact same shape?? thanks carl
  5. coulndt really say as i just charge it as and when and dont use it for prolonged periods but always seems to have charge in it, iam sure there are reviews that say how many holes, screws etc.
  6. that seriously cheap, id get one for garden work. pretty frustrating to use i would imagine.
  7. to be honest i think it largely comes down to what the client want and how much they want to spend, i guess you could of kept and lightly reduced the better trees and thinned (felled) the rest but that might of taken longer. if that is there long term hieght constraints then a hedge would probably be the most cost effective managment. client happy? my 1 cents worth. carl
  8. i have the makita 18v lithium ion black n white combo drill and seems fine for most things, i dont use it day in day out though, it has plenty of torque as i found out when the drill jammed and sent the drill body into my mouth!!!! so apart from that incedent i love the driill, case is handy too. downside mine only came with one battery but with a 20min charge time hasnt caused me any hassle. carl
  9. do you need to turn the soil? if the digging is easy maybe just spray the grass with roundup and then strim when dead or leave.
  10. good post its nice to hear somone praising their staff for a change:thumbup1:
  11. be glad of the oppportunty to shine brightly amoung your co-workers, imagine if they were all better workers than you?? would you prefer that?
  12. looks nasty, bit confused as to how it can be nobodys fault??? sounds like the sort of thing i would say if ive cocked up!! ha ha. carl
  13. starting to remind me of the monty pythons " four yorkshire men" sketch ! absolute classic imo
  14. great pictures! thanks for posting, one day ill see them in the flesh. thanks carl
  15. its when they offer you a cheap GENUINE saw you wanna really worry!!!
  16. try the narrow guage one its called oregan micro lite pro i think, not sure what others find but seems to cut ok to me.
  17. what guage 18" bar do you use on it?? ive got a narrow gauge oregan 18" on my 346 , wouldnt say it flew but for me the weight saved against taking up a 361 makes it a good up the tree option, on the ground id choose the bosses 361 as that loves the 18" stuck in deep!
  18. i think most people rate them highly ( i love mine!) it seems tho that when working the 550 is just better, still yet to try one but until my 346 packs up i wouldnt replace it. the 560xp is the one i would like to get. anyway be intresting to see how the op compares the saws. thanks carl
  19. i have a peltor set , i mainly use the mp3 input. the only annoying thing is that if the volume switch is knocked the radio can cut accross the mp3 sound apart from that probably one of the best tools i own!!( i do like my music tho) carl
  20. each to their own when not in work. if saftey or productivity becomes an issue at work then this needs to be addressed. my thoughts carl
  21. thanks tom hadnt thought of doing that but those side straps dont really need to ever move, will try that. carl
  22. isnt there a hole near the cam where you can place a krab?? cant rember with out looking lol
  23. well if someone put a mars bar in my boot( not sure how as i dont usauly get to take them off!) and fed my lunch to the dog i would be off, whats the point??? a bit of piss taking sure , but these kinda jokes surley just waste time and piss everyone off. carl
