  1. it was sold as correct bar, the stock husqy bar has holes for the chain tensioner that are smaller and dont overlap the oiler hole. it does oil but there seems to be a lot of oil about under the side cover, thanks
  2. heres a photo of what iam on about. cheers carl
  3. will try n put up some photos tommorrow. thanks carl.
  4. no one runs this combo and knows what iam on about???
  5. just got a sugihara bar for my 346 and when fitting noticed that the holes in the bar for the chain tension screw overlapp the oil hole on the saw?? has anyone had problems with bar not oiling or oil escaping from this gap?? thanks carl
  6. ok thats good, although like you i often look at the small amount of metal and think what if ,but realise someone with a lot more knowledge has deemed it safe and tested it so alls good.
  7. theres never been any saftey issues with the lock jack has there??
  8. i reckon an inverter arc welder would be best for general repair work , small easy to transport and just need rods and away you go. i thinks its all down to what thickness you wish to weld and where. i have a cheapy arc unit and have done loads with it, would love an inverter tho! cant recomend a course enough i had a welder for ages and it was always a bit hit and miss, then did a year evening course and now fairly confident(ish). oh and an auto shield. gd luck.carl
  9. leylandi!!! didnt think anyone gave a toss about them, well not enough to protest anyhow, although birds love them. hope you have some better days. carl

  11. joking arnt you!? there normally brand new round our way.
  12. hi iam after new stretch air type "C" trousers. whats the difference between the new 2013 ARBORIST and 2013 VENTELATION trousers.?? also fr jones have a cheaper pair called full stretch?? are these just normal ones? finaly are the 2013 range worth the extra money? always had stretch airs and liked them just bit confused by all the variations. thanks carl
  13. nice trucks mate.
  14. i think if iam honest for me my van is my most important and often used( every job) tool of the lot. i realise its all a bit catch 22, but your asking for work but cant get there so i think you may be giving prospective employers a bad impression, i would imagine they dont want to even think about how you get there. are you any good with cars?? fix up n sell a couple of old ones. flyers are good as the outlay is minimal. how about a motor bike or scooter as you can drive on L plates and there a lot cheaper to get on the road. best of luck carl
  15. personly i think its a design fault along with a weld missing, as its an indespension type axle which means all the force is off centre causing a twist and just these two weld seams very narrow but as i said before iam not an expert just speculating. the thing is when they fix it i want to be sure its never going to happen again as wasnt a nice experince. thanks
  16. what do you do then???!!!!
  17. bit of a generalisation there ty, not condoning theft in any way but in reality a minority of people from all walks of life steal, often in very different ways.
  18. think i understood that but was a bit vague?? (drugs!!) lol
  19. the way its notched and then not welded on the third surface is what looks a bit odd to me ?? but then iam not an expert either, and i am intrested in what the manufacture reckons is the cause.
  20. its actualy the parent metal which has sheared not really sure why as iam fairly sure i have never overloaded it. just very, very glad no one else was involved as 3 min further along and i would of been in the middle of a town!
  21. great start to the day my trailer and whole axle decided to part company!!!! fairly new and strong trailer( or so i thought). will be in contact with the manufacture. carl
  22. yep mulching blade and a big patch of knarley bramble along with my mp3 ear defenders and iam as happy as a pig in poo!
  23. there a bit slow and the cable legnth is annoyingly short and thus time comsuming to do a long pull, but cheap and can be usefull too. i think misterhben put up a thread regarding an american one that had a lot longer rope on itand was still cheap. carl
  24. try and do some test digging first as numbers per day can vary drasticly if its rocky. have the farm a digger of rotorvator to till it over as that would make it really easy and quick, although if you go on an hourly rate that might not be want you want! carl
  25. thanks for replys, was kinda hopeing you would say its a crap saw so i wouldnt have to try and buy it! do you think they would run any more than a 20" bar?? thanks carl
