  11. iam after a removable pin for the mk 1 rope wrench, any ideas of the best place to get one?? thanks carl
  12. looks fun, a pair of fencing pliers kept in the truck can help with those iratating fences!
  13. i use long lanyard anchored at the back in the middle then a carritool on either hip so i can clip either side, still a tangly pain in the ass though. carl
  14. is the argument for leaving a long stub to prevent decay in the main stem not valid? genuinely interested in peoples opinion. carl
  15. fair enough £40 does sound a bit optimistic, a friend built one out of an old trampoline frame and he said that all the bits n bobs for it did mount up ( not near the retail of a stien mind), a handy yoke though.
  16. i dont think its about the maths its about whether your the sort of person who can and enjoys this sort of project, if so then your gonna have stuff around to make it out of, plus the satisfaction of making it.

  18. started using a 200tcm recently and it seem nice to use seems a bit lighter and more nimble than the 200t and the auto on switch it handy, powerfull enough id say, havent tried the husky tho. carl
  19. are you in the slowest gear? also i tend to tie the deflector flap open a bit to help the grass fly out. probably not great for the mower long term either. could strim the top off?

  24. yep:thumbup: i work for the op, wow what a difference the chipper has made to the working day. chipper to the brush !! obvious really but saves the body loads:thumbup1:
  25. ours always blocked on conny from time to time but got a lot worse with age, so i suspect it could be the shear bar thing you mentioned as ours is very worn, very frustrating having to unblock it every 5min, the worst thing for it was wet fuschia clippings!! we just gave up a got a trailer and mounded it in. we found you had to have a man just feeding it and watching the chute, worked better than walking off as it blocked. hope you get it sorted, be good to know so we can sort ours, although we have a small tracked chipper now. carl p.s could be a stick wedged sideways in the chute!! had us puzzled for a while lol.
