  1. I dunno, I be my missus wished I only smelt only of cypress.
  2. You can get it quite thin with a bandsaw. Although not paper thin the way I think you want it.
  3. You have to hand it to the Russians, they know how to get things done. Although there trucks were probably made of depleted uranium not to get washed away in that:thumbup:

on the 125 feet! As Deans says dont even think about chipping the leaves, include the cost for you to dump them. P.S aslong as you have your EA license.
  7. Contact ebay and tell them the problem and include the email he sent you. They might block his account from what he said.
  8. 2.5 ton.
  9. Just think you prob have another 32 years of work before retirement age so its deffo not too late to for a change of career!! Tbh with the state of the economy I woulda thought the government would be putting money into retraining, there must be something out there. Good luck, hope you can find it.
  10. I'm gonna have a look to see if they have any here. Its better £2.49 worth of handsaw sits under the seat in the truck only to be used once a year than a £40 silky:laugh1:
  11. Most of the noise comes from the exhaust they are fairly small and dont cut down the noise that much, well does with our splitter although its not the same type. There must be some way a better, bigger exhaust could be knocked up, it will prob reduce the power though but hopefully will still keep you working:thumbup1:
  12. Pic 2:scared1: Is that how you left it over night with your saw stuck? I hope you had a bit of fun dragging his car away with the mog:thumbup: Also hope he wasnt injured.
  13. Congrats to you all.
  14. Bugger I thought the chipper weighed 1410kg, I woulda been spot on. Did the springs have there unhappy face on then:laugh1:
  15. Really, has it changed then? I always thought it was 10 too. 4 does sound good though. I,d try and ask someone in the know if they think planning permission would be granted before asking the planners or say nothing.
  16. Oh dear! Will there be matching trousers and boots? I,m sorry but it's quite possibly the ugliest piece of arb equipment to date. At least it's competetivly priced though.: Only joking, ish.
  17. 6.5 ton including chipper. If it was 10 ton it wouldn't surprise me looking at the poor old truck, its on its knees to say the least!
  18. He's wearing braces, might get more luck posting on the farmers forum tbh, failing that try the Village People appreciation society. IF there is such a thing:blushing:
  19. Hope it was ok though:blushing:
  20. A good t-cut can remove oxidation stuff that scratches or looks like scratches but isnt really.
  21. Will have to look into buying that stuff and using it on the chipper stumpy etc.
  22. Do you think she nicked his PC then?
  23. Whatever happened?
  24. I actually quite using a wire core when I remember we have one! It's not really the safety aspect just the fact they are easier I think to work than a side strop when chugging. Especially when it's a fairly wide gnarly old stem.
  25. No grease then prob knackered the bearings which causes play between the drive cog things in the head which then strips the teeth. If the above parts are knackered then unfortunatelystihl replacment parts are expensive it's not much more expensive to buy a new head. Hope it's something else though.
