  1. I still have mine, had one of the first ones off the block too. It did have a bit of welding done but going strong other than that
  2. Why do the cameramen always miss the money shot. Wonder what the outcome was
  3. I can recommend the Dalen. I went from a hakki pilke to the Dalen and its on a completely different level with regards build quality. The hakki pilke feels positively tinny in comparison.
  4. Have you tried cable ties? I mist have a dozen on my harness holding different things in the perfect position. Depends if theres gaps in your harness to thread them through though.
  5. Are they as horrible to cut as everyone says? How about spiking? I remember years ago watching some videos by that ozzy guy, couldn't climb to save his life but used to post loads of videos online making out he was an expert. He made spiking them look exceptionally hard, but then again he made everything look hard lol
  6. I've had a reaction to these and its not nice. Timely reminder, thanks
  7. Whatever you do make sure you split the Euc whilst its green too
  8. Yeah this. You might get lucky and it all goes smooth but I doubt it. 10 people sharing one machine is just too many, not to mention the logistics of getting it to each other?
  9. emails coming through fine here
  10. `this has been my experience also. Its an outlay switching over to this method but more efficient long term
  11. been reading up on this but seems like a minefield and i still dont get it, im out!!!!
  12. I have both saws. The Echo is more powerful but the Stihl more ergonomic for me. I think I prefer the Stihl for this reason. If I want a powerful saw I use my 201.
  13. Is that really what happens spud? I have found I am constantly knocking the choke on by accident with mine.
  14. Well I have been reading up on here and elsewhere for a while now trying to decide on the Husqvarna 540XP or Stihl MS201t for my next topping saw, now the ECHO CS-360T has been thrown in the mix after reading Niall's review just now. I have not heard a massive amount about ECHO saws in general but this one review seems very positive. I would be interested to hear anybody elses opinions? Also just to confuse matters, I also read there is a Dolmar saw imminent. Any new on this?
  15. Yes. Its ok. Prefer my blue tongue though.
  16. Thats a real useful sized unit Stefan, all the best with your venture
  17. Some good reading here. Its pretty frustrating losing work in this manner but yes it happens all the time and it won't stop unfortunately
  18. same here and it seems to be getting worse. I don't think the majority of firms know what good tree work even is
  19. Have read through this whole thread. This is my favourite photo I think
  20. Temp has certainly dropped lately. and nothing but drizzle today. Glad im not working
