  1. Great in theory Pete, but the other week I rang GM to get some new disc blades, was told go to hendersons, 5 days later I have the blades in my hand, if they had been sent out by GM direct I would have had them the next day. Funnily enough some companies are going in the opposite direction, dealers won't stock parts so they sell direct to the customer and make more money on the machine. I see what you're saying about the service though, we do our own but some won't and will need somewhere to take it. You just need to persuade them to keep more parts!
  2. I saw you today in juniper green… unfortunately greenmech are no longer sending out parts, you have to get them from hendersons, so be prepared to wait!
  3. I have found that the positioner creeps a bit on my wire core flip line, but maybe it needs a new cam, I have had it a while I suppose. What sort of life are you guys getting from a cam?
  4. I learned to shoot with a 9mm shooting mice in corn sheds, it was great fun for a 12 year old. I can't imagine anyone would let a 12 year old loose with a shotgun these days.
  5. This day is already here, last year I paid £2500 to fell 50 odd trees, I sold the timber for over £10k...
  6. Nice machine! I reckon having the grab / rotate on rocker switches on the joysticks would be better, can't they do that for you?
  7. Bin the cherry picker and stick a chip bin on the back, it would be a distinctive truck for sure.
  8. Climb the standing tree, tie in, and cut and chuck / bomb the leaner down. Thats how i did the one on page 1.
  9. Not really Stevie, the tree came from a council owned nature reserve, so we winched it all back through the hole in the wall. Not sure if I could handle a job like that again...
  10. Buffalo Eh? Nice work! How's the chipper going?
  11. Done bits and bobs down your way for the council, but not much.
  12. Where in the borders are you? Nice work Stevie BTW.
  13. I bet all 7 went with one big gust.
  14. Well I wouldn't say walked…. The guy must be 3" shorter.. I spoke to the coppers who saw him in hospital, they said he was ok and talking, has a neck brace, but was talking and seemed fine.
  15. What ever you do don't tell them its to buy stuff, they'll just try and sell you a loan, do a cash-flow forecast that shows you needing an overdraft and you should get it. Tell them you have a lot of council work coming up and they are slow payers, snow clearing etc...
  16. Can't believe that ash was standing yesterday never mind today, man thats rotten. That is a BT Cable BTW..
  17. One of me I just nicked of itv the news site..
  18. We took this one off a car today, the driver survived but was lucky IMO, Then I had this elm to deal with.
  19. Thanks for taking the time, someone posted this on here years ago and I meant to try it then, still haven't.. and I have had plenty of opportunities too. I will try it soon.
