  1. ripping that trunk as straight as that is pretty impressive!!
  2. Happy Birthday mate! Just thought i'd make you feel better as I'm 27 today:001_tt2:
  3. I have the same chipper but havnt had to change the roller blades yet! but i would think that a good soaking of WD40 the night before and the same socket and ratchet that you use to change the flywheel blades should do. Failing that you could heat them and then imediately pour cold water over them, this usually "cracks" the rust and corrosion that is making them so tight. Good luck mate:thumbup1:
  4. 3/4 throttle for the first 3-4 tanks, and dont leave it ticking over for too long.....i was told to run in my 357xp when i bought it in 2003, and the sam with my 2004 ms660 but my 200t from 2006 i was told that you didnt have to bother anymore???
  5. Yeah, go for it, to be honest its a 2nd hand 2 stroke so it is always hit and miss, you can never tell how it has been used/looked after - offer £250 and maybe pay 300, you can get all spares on the Husqvarna Website for any model number, even the old models from the 1980s etc - good luck mate
  6. what year is the saw mate?
  7. yeah i think the stretch air are worth every penny, so comfortable to climb in too - only prob for me is that when i wear a belt with them the flap at the back funnels all the sawdust down to my arse!!
  8. looks like a nice job mate, but surely money in your pocket rather than a crane companies is better??
  9. whats the crane for mate??
  10. Cricket bat willows, and North Essex, You must work for Richard Fordham??!!
  11. Yes mate, heres the link to the thread with my old photos. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/8836-help-chainsaw-model-number.html
  12. all of those saws would handle an 18 inch bar fine, the 357xp is a brilliant saw, had mine for years and its never let me down, but if its just for firewood i would say the 365 would be fine, a good raw power saw. but if you're cutting wood with 3-4 foot diameter, surely you would need a bigger bar?? a 4ft log cannot be cut up with an 18" bar, unless you cube it, which is a pain in the arse
  13. could you consider the 390xp too? I have had bad experiences with my 660, all sorted now but was a pain, and i like the 395, apart from the chainbrake only being mounted on one side (the 390xp is mounted both sides) the 395 would be fine if its only used on the ground. If i could choose again i would go for a husky.
  14. A German bought my Dolmar 152, but then didnt want to ship it from the UK, and i said UK only...bloody Germans! So still have it now
  15. re-tuned freeview and its working now:thumbup1:
  16. The one i used was same looking as that and was a 1987, have the manual in the shed somewhere. Amazing saw, think we had a 34" bar on it. was replaced by the 2101
  17. I even tried another spare aerial that i had and no luck:thumbdown:
  18. Tried that!!! no luck, i think its repeated one night in the week, so hope i can pick it up then
  19. Same here mate, i have got no signal either:thumbdown:
  20. Tonight at 9pm on Channel Quest (154 on Sky). Tonight's programme has the guy training as a logger for a month. Last weeks was pretty cool where he worked in an Aussie gold mine for a month driving a 200 tonne dumper:thumbup1:
  21. Those CD 2100's will cut circles round a 66, i used one years ago, amazing saw, there was a tidy one on Ebay last week but it went for a high price for a saw over 20 years old:laugh1:
  22. All the best mate, wish you a speedy recovery:thumbup1:
  23. I prefer hammering.........Karate Kid style:thumbup1:
  24. The guy i knew was swinging round on his life line and caught his ribs, I see what you mean about leaving a few pegs as i do the same but only one side if possible and always cut off hinges etc. Just makes it safer - not trying to teach you how to suck eggs mate:001_rolleyes:
  25. watch the pegs mate, i've seen a guy get badly injured in the ribs. Nice job though:thumbup1:
