  1. could you consider the 390xp too? I have had bad experiences with my 660, all sorted now but was a pain, and i like the 395, apart from the chainbrake only being mounted on one side (the 390xp is mounted both sides) the 395 would be fine if its only used on the ground. If i could choose again i would go for a husky.
  2. A German bought my Dolmar 152, but then didnt want to ship it from the UK, and i said UK only...bloody Germans! So still have it now
  3. re-tuned freeview and its working now:thumbup1:
  4. The one i used was same looking as that and was a 1987, have the manual in the shed somewhere. Amazing saw, think we had a 34" bar on it. was replaced by the 2101
  5. I even tried another spare aerial that i had and no luck:thumbdown:
  6. Tried that!!! no luck, i think its repeated one night in the week, so hope i can pick it up then
  7. Same here mate, i have got no signal either:thumbdown:
  8. Tonight at 9pm on Channel Quest (154 on Sky). Tonight's programme has the guy training as a logger for a month. Last weeks was pretty cool where he worked in an Aussie gold mine for a month driving a 200 tonne dumper:thumbup1:
  9. Those CD 2100's will cut circles round a 66, i used one years ago, amazing saw, there was a tidy one on Ebay last week but it went for a high price for a saw over 20 years old:laugh1:
  10. All the best mate, wish you a speedy recovery:thumbup1:
  11. I prefer hammering.........Karate Kid style:thumbup1:
  12. The guy i knew was swinging round on his life line and caught his ribs, I see what you mean about leaving a few pegs as i do the same but only one side if possible and always cut off hinges etc. Just makes it safer - not trying to teach you how to suck eggs mate:001_rolleyes:
  13. watch the pegs mate, i've seen a guy get badly injured in the ribs. Nice job though:thumbup1:
  14. Sorry if this has been asked before, but Im looking at buying a 30ft by 8ft steel shipping container when i get my new yard next year. Im not too fussed on the condition as i can do all the welding and stick some lock boxes etc on myself. I need to be able to store my chipper, all tools and equipment and also have room for a workshop. Was just wanting a guide price as i havnt got a clue. Also do you guys that use them have problems with condensation etc. Thanks in advance Lads
  15. I have a dremel attachment, that has and angle guide and different size stones for different pitch chains - its still in the box unused though as i prefer to sharpen by hand
  16. Here here, im a Husky man through and through and only use a 200 in a tree at the mo, but i would be interested in this saw if it werent for the brake. It would get caught up on branches and is only fixed on one side so i could see it getting broken and being a pain.....its about time that Husky brought out a decent top handle though:thumbup1:
  17. try universal engine power in essex, they will send parts and are brilliant. i got a new kohler command 25 fitted on my chipper for £1000, always have the parts i need too....dont have number to hand but they have a website.
  18. Well done for going to the doctors mate, usually the scan reveals that there's nothing wrong or there is a cyst (which if not painful are usually left) or an infection which is cured by antibiotics. But the doctors told me that balls can feel lumpy just where the pipework is etc. Glad your doctors sent you for a quick scan, i had to wait over 6 weeks for mine! Goodluck mate, fingers crossed for you:thumbup1:
  19. Not too bad thank you, had my operation on monday, can walk a little now but no work for at least a month, so fraustrating, i would do anything to be working right now. The cancer was sent off to be graded and i have to go for a full body scan sometime soon. So just a worrying time at the mo and cant do much to keep my mind off it. On the positive my harness should fit a little easier now:thumbup1:
  20. Great photos mate - really wish i was well enough to go this year
  21. 7.5 ton, i recon theres a fair bit more than 2 ton of chip there!!
  22. Thanks for the kind messages lads, and yeah it does make a good excuse to make the mrs get you naked
  23. Had some bad news yesterday, was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I found a small lump on my left testicle just over 2 months ago, I went straight to my gp, who said it was just a cyst and sent me for a scan to make sure. I had to wait 6 weeks for a scan, by which time the lump had trebbled in size and was painful, especially in my harness. The scan revealed a lump and swelling and my GP said it was just an infection, gave me antibiotics and sent me to see a urologist (specialist) for a second opinion. Inbetween times i had terrible pains and had to go to A&E. They managed to get me an appointment with the speciallist a week earlier and i was told to cancel my holiday (which i should be on now), to Majorca. Saw the specialist yesterday, who examined and scanned me, he told me i had cancer and sent me for another scan and blood tests. On the way home i had a call asking me to come in for an operation monday 20th. Good news I suppose that im going to be fitted in quick, but very scary! So please fellas, dont neglect your balls, have a good look next time you're in the bath/shower and make sure you visit your doctor. My lump was tiny when i found it and grew very fast (4 times the size of other side!), but when I think back it always seemed to be my left ball that used to hurt in my harness on and off ages before i had spotted anything.
  24. Yeah a i bought a pair a couple of months ago, i cant believe how i managed in my old SIPs not, they are great trousers, pricey but quality:thumbup1:
