1. Any idea if a MS660 will push a 42" chain when milling?
2. Welcome to the site Rob. Best to send PM (Private Message) as stated.
3. Life Expectancy of PPE depends on many factors. Frequency and conditions of use together with the quality of cleaning and storage will determine the safe and effective working life of PPE. Such equipment will continue to afford safety protection until routine inspection determines that it shall be withdrawn from service and/or refurbished. Withdrawn equipment should not be used as a back up. The label on my harness says 10 years - as long a it passes the regular inspections. (May not be the same for all manufacturer's)
4. Looks well balanced - is that an 18" bar?
5. Where are you based? I feel a move coming on
6. As you say Rick, definitely a scam. HMRC never use email for this type of correspondence. It will always be snail mail. In fact, in 18 years of being an accountant, they never used email for any correspondence. Good heads up though. p.s Got your new 560 yet? I'm thinking along the same lines as you.
7. That's the route I've gone down after been wiped out recently.... always think of these things after the event Doh!!!!!
8. Smart Water. It's on an annual subscription though!
9. Another vote for the Canter, ours is a single cab so unable to comment on the double. As already said, about 350 miles on a tank.
10. Let's hope so, love to see it in production.
11. I have a 28RX and love it. The 38RX wasn't available at the time of purchase otherwise I would have gone for that. The petrol version is a lot quieter and smoother in operation. Both the Carltons mentioned above are great machines but neither of them would get to 50% of the stumps I grind as they are too wide. Narrow access was high on my 'need' list so opted for the predator at only 26" wide. If you are spending that sort of money then get a few machines out on demo to make sure you've plumped for the right machine for your needs.
12.
Hi David, many thanks and best wishes to you too. Yes I'm still in the tree :-) Give me a shout if you need to fill the odd day now and again - hard workers such as yourself are always welcome here. Cheers.

13. Just over 7hrs including shifting all the waste (82 of those blue Ikea bags you can see in the first photo) and used aprox 30lts of diesel! This was with my Predator 28 NOT the SP7015. When I first saw the stump I nearly didn't start it with such a small machine, thinking this needs at least 50hp! However, the job had to be completed that day so just plodded on.
14. It certainly is a beast. Wish I had one when I did this Beech stump a couple of weeks ago with my P28. 8ft across the top plus another 2ft of buttress roots.
15. Never thought to look. Now that is a poor show, come on Ben get it sorted:001_smile:
16. Looking at the date of the previous posts I would hope Farmer Ben's sites are up, running & working and no longer under construction :-)
17. Paul, if you don't get any takers (i'm sure you will) I'll gladly ground for you if you climb.
18. Photo I tried to post in previous post:
19. Certainly is a fabulous place! From the date on your pics looks like I was there the week before you.
