  1. I looked at some today which looked to be made up of roughly 1/3 woodchip, 1/3 sand and the other 1/3 looked to be the black solids waste from sewage works ?? I was going to build a big concrete bay similar to a silage clamp
  2. Just want to utilise the woodchip we produce and add another string to my bow. How do I make soil, what do I need equipment, land and components wise, such as silage bay, worms etc and what processes are involved.
  3. Awesome Drew, absolutely awesome mate
  4. I got in for free the second day, we approached the gate and asked if we could pick up gear from Jonsies from the previous day. They refused us entry and said we had to pay again despite showing them 6 tickets from the previous day. We just walked away and sneaked our way in picked up the gear and went You should only have to pay once
  5. I like the new avatar Plip Did he notice ??
  6. I'm not saying a word
  7. Haha... no it was an innocent show go'er ....I've done that so many times, most embarrasingly funny time yesterday, when I followed a bloke upstairs in a resteurant taking this pee out of him thinking it was Josharb
  8. Nice phot's David. Me and Stevie have been so inspired by your dedicated and enthuistic approach to the subject and study of Fungii, we were inspired and indeed moved into producing a Video or mini production of our own little Fungi hunting monkeyd/Hama inspired foray We are currently editing our production to ensure top quality content for you to peruse and behold. We will soon release said production Coming soon to a forum near you.................
  9. I spotted the how Josh stalks ...................... Josh has got a permenant cheeky grin. I spotted these two girls walking towards Josh and the cheeky grin became more obvious. As the girls approached they spotted the cheeky grin and smiled. Josh then smiled back, the girls chuckled and put their heads toward each other and whispered to each other and looked back. Josh could have, if he so required, marked on his card, that, as a "pull".
  10. I take it you got him home ok
  11. With SkyHuck in picture 1 and he hadn't lost a quid, there's a clue in picture 3. Arbtalk night out in Stafford party goers were: Josh and his Boss Andy Collins Steve Bullman Mr T and Friend Skyhuck Big boss Beechwood Stephen Blair Tom D Dean Lofthouse I apologise in advance for Simons (BBB)T shirt and the picture quality But everyone had a good night although some knew when to call it a do, others didn't
  12. I'd have just put a gob cut in or step cut lower down where I could control the saw properly then winch back at a safe distance. Not enough control in that technique as demonstrated in the video, it caught you by suprise
  13. Nothing yet....I'm going tomorrow
  14. I dont think those stunt fells should count Peter, unless you actually touch the gutter with the leaves on the way down
  15. Wow!! My mate showed me an example of a coin he found on his first trip out !! I have got permission to use it on a very big private estate Geoff, but I'm just waiting for work to quieten down to go out with it. I have also found another geek to go out with and show me how to go on to earn my geek badge I found it quite relaxing the bit i have done so far
  16. Once the blame and claim culture bites in a bit harder over there the Council may change their veiw ( sorry for the pun) Well done for trying to stand your ground though
  17. Aren't I just !!!! When I heavily reduce a tree, I put away the Felcos and get out the Gomtara
  18. No worries Andy On the housing association job I did I kind off came round to the idea of topped managed trees simply because this row of small trees would have come out otherwise. But the important thing is they were done every 3-4 years and looked well for it. What I cant stand is someone passing off a topping job as a pollard There are some Acer pollards near me that are cut back every two years and when they are freshly done they have really nice pollard heads and look awesome, I'm waiting till they are done again and I'll get a photo
  19. Have you weighed it off yet ?
  20. I see topping as bodging, I have never topped a tree. I cannot bodge, I'm an ex engineer, it is not in my nature to do so and have a thriving tree surgery business despite refusing to top trees. I have heavily reduced small trees as a subby for someone else working for an housing assosiation which is on a maintainance schedule done every three years. If you have to top trees to feed your family and need a big set to do so then all well on good, I have no objection Topped trees also provide me with work re-topping and removing them farther down the line so keep em coming PS: If my business starts to fail and I get desperate for work, I'll let you know if my morals change
  21. Reg doesn't want any modifications to his trolley
  22. Exactly ! The problem is, the majority will top a tree with no thought whatsoever apart from getting the wedge of cash off the customer when they finish
  23. Just bought two Rupe, tungsten one for me and pink for my groundy Now Reg, does the trolley come in pink ??
  24. As long as you line your pockets with money who cares about the tree or public safety or future maintainance, at least you can get the beers in when it's your round I have been up plenty of lapsed "pollards" with no MEWP access and not been 100% about my anchor and have had to use unusual techniques on others which where positively dodgey. I dont have a problem if they are maintained, the problem I have is they never or very rarely are and thats when topping can and do cause problems and if you have, in 15 years seen very few topping cut failures, your walking round blind folded
  25. Who's the ugly one flexing his biceps, infact who are all the ugly ones Looks like you had a good laugh boys
