  1. Re Tacho and Operators license Is there a way round these is you work within a certain distance of base and only do a very low milage ie I mainly work within 5 miles of home and only do about 2500 miles per year. If Woodpicker uprated his Iveco from 3.5 to 5.5 could he get round these issues by working close to home
  2. Haha Here's hoping Matty Thats good stuff Dave, I put that down in my other yard over clay and it is brilliant, just make sure you dont scrimp on the thickness. The only down side to it is when a log has been sat on it for a while it embeds into the wood and you need to have a stiff hand brush to hand to brush it off before cutting with the saw
  3. Daft as it sounds, what I used to do at shows with my genny is stand a board infront of it and it reflects a lot of the noise away from you. If you make a like a three sided booth with a roof, even out of bales with the open side in the direction you want the sound to go you will knock the noise down an amazing amount
  4. Yes....dont chip the leaves
  5. No because the pipe should go much higher than the water level then down into the bottom of the barrel
  6. Its been covered in hardcore which has been tracked in Simon some time ago before I owned it and has never been grassed, just over grown??
  7. If you do the exhaust in water jobby put an end on the pipe like a watering can spout only with slightly bigger holes so you dont get the blub blub blub. You should then get fine little bubbles rising instead that are silent:thumbup1:
  8. Looks a good spot there Dave, the mud bit is quite a problem for me too, but there is shaley rock just under the surface so when I level it with a 360 I'm going to drag the top over the lower slope so it should be stoned ready then, good luck with yours though mate Simon. I'm not really building anything, the barn is classed as a temp structure and the fencing is stock fencing and palisade which is under 1.8m which is outside planning. I'll fence in the perimeter, level the site then put up the barn and give them a call then so they can see the extent of the yard. The only issue I reckon would be containers. The nearest dwellings are 200m with woodland inbetween. Mike: Thanks for the offer mate
  9. So stevie and Roberts must be taking a right battering up there
  10. Only with a pair of scissors and a thread and needle, easy to do I reckon
  11. I dont think it's been used for anything in the past Simon and is classed as woodland same as my previous yard which is over the other side of the track I took the photo from BTW. It is the same woodland essentailly, so you could say I've already been there for 7 years.
  12. I'm going to enquire Simon and see what the score is, hopefully get someone out and run them through what it's going to be used for etc
  13. What you need to do tom is eliminate wander lead or battery feed. Its either one or the other (suspect power lead connection or bad earth) First get a fully charged battery and connect it direct to the input side of the solonoid the try it with the wander lead, this should eliminate any power lead connection problems down the line or isolator switch problems. (suspect wander lead or wander lead connection)If it still does it then disconnect the battery you've just put on and go back to standard connections and bridge the pins on the wander lead connection to bypass that. (suspect solonoid) If it still does it the connect the battery to the output side of the solonoid and you bypass everything
  14. Two thirds of 1/4 of a million = £166,666 How do you want to pay me Bob
  15. Give me a ring when you get near mate and I'll show you my butt off the footbridge
  16. I'll just crane them into the back of their truck off the footbridge Johnnie, just pull up on the hard shoulder and bobs not your uncle
  17. I think the mods should step in here to clear up all this confusion that wee frank.....erm Darren has started
  18. I'm going to have to get some help in Dave, I'm just a pilchard for not allowing anyone to help me, everything has to be done right Ariel veiw, note how close the m62 is the smaller area is the yard, the larger area is being kept as woodland and grassed area
