  1. It is mate, much more usable area on this plot, it's about a 1/3 yard a 1/3 woodland and a 1/3 grassed lawn Thats the only problem with renting is anything you spend is money for nothing. It might be worth asking if you can rent for a while with a veiw to buying some after so long ??
  2. It is them Bobby, they were doing brilliant, showing loads of vigerous growth, I decided to take them out of the growbag and pot them individually in big pots but none had any roots showing yet after such a long time I'm just hoping they are all still ok, will leave them alone now till middle of next year and hopefully they'll be ok
  3. Got twelve month to get this into a working yard approx: 240m of fencing to erect 100m of hawthorn hedge to lay 3/4 of an acre of yard area to level with a big machine 60m of yew hedging to plant barn to dismantle and re-erect 2 containers to shift after putting in footings for them a chip bay to build and a 40m retaining wall to build oh! And tons and tons of firewood to shift all to do myself in my spare time, site is about 1.65acres Started with knocking in countless fence posts, putting in a stone gatepost, installing hinges into the gatepost and hanging a 10ft and 16ft gates
  4. Aye but I'd rather give a steel bollard a hammering than an £800 winch
  5. Bob, you buy one of these new ones and I'll buy your old one off you then
  6. I suppose it would save on swapping bollards then
  7. I think the plus with this one is you can put a wrap on the steel outer then wrap onto the winch and prestension then take the wraps off the winch and snatch in one smooth operation ??
  8. We'll book in together then Mick You can book in for a labiaplasty while your there
  9. It is a thor yes I've had a few "pop" but this was like a gun going off
  10. Hahaha, if your going to do it do it right
  11. You know me mate 3's have nothing to do with it, bad luck just comes my way whatever Looking at the weather Andy, staying in bed might be an option
  12. .......Knocked me flat on my back Splitting a ring with a bit of ripple at the top when it exploded and sent me flying. Luckily I was pressed up against the wood so it pushed me back, if I'd not have been touching it I reckon it would have broke my hip. I've split a lot of timber and thats the first time thats happened
  13. Thats what I heard, on the JB's the blades have to be razor sharp
  14. Might be worth visiting them Alex and asking if they have a timetable of practice sessions so you can be out or wear ear plugs in advance ??
  15. Thanks Daz, I knew you held me in high regard but didn't know you had so much respect for me
  16. Buying a house near a church is no different to buying a house next to woodland then moaning about trees. Sit out in the garden with a cup of tea and enjoy them. On a positive note, you could even join the bell ringers association and get ringing yourself and have the satisfaction of knowing how many people you are annoying I'd just buy some earplugs
  17. Roller alignment - are they parallel Infeed hopper - are the sides belled out Filters - do they look as if they are changed on a regular service routine Oil - is it thick black stuff or nice clean stuff If you can get a little mirror to look at the side and bottom anvils and see if they have ever been changed, chip quality might give you a clue to this, is it stringy chip or nice little even lumps General condition - does it look as though it's looked after
  18. There's my yard Johnny but it's a fair run from Kirkburton, it's the opposite side of Huddersfield to me
  19. Who spanners a landrover ?? If they are serviced and looked after properly they dont need "spannering" I've had mine 7 years and it has never once broke down or let me down and is mechanically perfect, I would quite happily set off on a long journey with no worries whatsoever. Landrovers are the most abused motor on the planet, they never get serviced when they should and have to put up with unequaled abuse. I'd go as far as to say even Mogs are reliable if they are looked after properly, the problem is they never are
  20. Defenders may get a regular slating but I challenge anyone to find a more versatile vehicle I've had my landrover in the most inaccessible places where transit or mog won't go mainly due to width. Over lawns and round the back of houses, down alley ways or through woodland with inches to spare. There isn't another vehicle that is so versatile, otherwise I'd have one
  21. Not as good as the human processor vid
  22. When I was HGV mechanicing, a driver came into the workshops and asked for some oil as his wagon was low on oil and needed topping up. He went away with a part drum of 20 litres of engine oil. He came back wanting more, "bloody hell it must have been low" I said, passing him another 20 litre drum. Shortly after he came back for some more....... Whoe whoe whoe I said, what you doing selling it ?? When I went to check, he had the cab jacked up and was filling the engine to the top till he could see the oil in the rocker cover
