  3. I got asked if I sold "sticks" as well as logs the other day
  4. The only thing I picked up on Daniel was the mid tying of the lowering line where a couple of the butts came back towards him. Never the less, they were brought down efficiently and I enjoyed your vids. I dont know what it is, it's probably me judging it wrong but the previous vids come across to me as a little patronising to other tree surgeons, maybe I'm wrong. But vids watching other people at work, rather than the vid portraying how it should be done are cool Keep em coming Danno
  5. Nice one Gareth, thanks for the feedback mate, I'll get the wedge as well. I'm not right bothered about the cross head, I have started cutting logs into flat slabs instead of wedges, they fit in the fire better and sem to dry better
  6. I'm going to get me loads of conkers and freeze some for year round use, I might even fill the chest freezer.

  15. I enjoyed watching those videos Danno
  16. Bloody spiders are razzing about the house all over, dirty great big ones, I'm a wuss when it comes to spiders. Every year at this time they seem to come out of the woodwork.. I've just gone to vac one up and another ran at 50mph towards me, dyson got it though
  17. The machine is 1.1m with the cutter fully down I like the safety helmet.....what do they use them for then, do firemen use them
  18. I learned one tip.... Using a tupperware bucket for the lowering line tail, good idea danno
  19. 10.5 ton Robert, I have a big 20 ton tractor mounted thor splitter so I am down grading, the problem with the tractor mount is if you are splitting away from the shed, you have the tractor tied up so have to hand ball to the shed My idea it to split into the tractor bucket and then I can empty straight onto the top of the log pile when its full instead of throwing them on Looks like my big thor is going on ebay
  20. Its an italian, they're all short
  21. but with a Robin (subaru) engine, instead of Briggs and Stratton and the tyres in the pic.
  22. Good tool is that, if you buy in cord. Not for sale to pansies Man up and get one bought
  23. I dont feel the need to show standard industry practice
  24. Just one question, why put yourself in danger zone time after time after time. I also only work in back yards and have never had to resort to that method
  25. On the smaller bearings end there are two together effectively sharing the lateral loading or should I say sharing any loading
