  1. I am planning on putting palisade fencing on top at one side to secure my yard seperate to the chip, I prefer concrete as it is no maintainance and can build up off it if needed
  2. I'll be concreteing floor yes. I think railway sleepers are quite dear at the mo Rupe Whats these a frame things Jim?
  3. I'm building a new chip bay which will be huge, something like 30m long by 6m wide. One of the walls I have to build will be retaining a 4ft banking and I have spotted these panels Dale Crete - Concrete Products and Ready Mix. Supplying the whole of the UK from our head office in Leek, Staffordshire A 6m x 1m x 150mm panel is about £225 which I reckon will be cheaper and quicker than building a concrete block wall Has anyone ever used them, the only downside I reckon is I'll have to crane them into place, I'm planning on sinking in some RSJ's then slotting the panels between so the bay will be 5 panels long and 1 panel wide, if I'm savvy and put in long rsj's I could even stick a roof over the chip bay
  4. I have never had a flail on so can't really comment.
  5. Mr Scotspine......your debate in the last few posts highlights the problem. People just get on with what they have to do with a blinkered approach to others needs Just the same as the queue jumpers in traffic, do they think they are the only ones needing to get from a to b in a specified time?
  6. It's a Kubota 2550, good little tractor that fits into the container nicely
  7. Exactly What I hope I have achieved is to have brought up two daughters that are not ignorant and selfish. Parents teach selfishness and ignorance
  8. I would have been flapping a little myself with those symptoms
  9. The basket sits ontop of that white bit Rick, you can just see the aluminium bottom part of the basket in the top of the pic
  10. I dont know what I'll do when he goes David, he gets in most of my photo's
  11. Off one of the anchor rings on the top of the basket Rich
  12. I use the mewp all the time as an improvised anchor, especailly when doing BIG wide previously reduced connies where the centres are too low to stand on and you struggle for a safe foothold. You are not hanging below the basket, you are using it as an safety anchor point not a working anchor point. If the mewp is not at full tilt you have a huge safety margin same as a crane works, on full outreach you can only lift 200kg whereas close in at say 2m you could probably hang a 1 ton weight off the boom.
  13. I hope the HSE are looking and give me credit for not free walking on the roof and using a bit gumption and improvising anchors
  14. These little tractors are awesome Thought I'd have a couple of hours this aft ripping out the old knackered hawthorn hedge at my new yard in preparation for the palisade fence, amazing what you can do on your own in a couple of hours with hydraulics
  15. Why do other tree surgeons find it so difficult to wave. I dont bite
  16. Enjoyed that one Dan, music was good
  17. Tommy, you do like those "penis tree" shots dont you ?
  18. Just timed a non rushed carb removal of the 200 with filter and cover in place and it took 1 minute 1 second
  19. No...they are still ignorant human life forms
  20. Ah well, we'll have to put up with you for a bit longer
  21. Waiting at a cross roads, an ambulance was waiting to turn right back towards the hospital. I stopped counting at 40 cars coming from the opposite direction that didn't flash and let the ambulance turn I always give way to ambulances, police and fire vehicles, simply so they can get from a to b quicker and get back on standby quicker for when they are needed. I couldn't believe how many ignorant, selfish low life so called human beings that were so in a rush they couldn't spare 2 seconds to give way to an ambulance. I do hope it is one of those 40 odd drivers that gets a delayed ambulance due to traffic when they desperately need one. Low life selfish scum Good day otherwise
