  1. You have to support the mill as it comes off - that said I am working with Granberg on a kit that goes on the back of the mill to make this easier as well as easier to introduce the mill into the log
  2. I'm not into football but I loved the Welsh match - so exciting and you couldn't help hooting when that 3rd goal went in! A Wales/Iceland final would be amazing stuff
  3. I have one running 3/8 lo pro 16" bar. It is a lovely light nimble saw for smaller stuff - I am going to go down to a 14" or 15" bar though as the 16" just feels a little too long.... it drives it fine but as said just feels a little too long. The 501 itself feels lovely to use - one of Echos new offerings that feels modern (like the 390ESX and 2510TES). Light, springy and easy to heft about. Also have the 620SX - great solid saw but a larger heavier thing, less nimble but for a 20" bar it is the 620SX you want IMO.
  4. Thanks - I think a way for people to leave feedback similar to Amazon etc and reviews may well be handy for people. The only draw back is policing it! Not removing the negative comments - but removing the unhelpful ones... swearing etc etc But will def look into it - maybe a way of linking more vids etc to a product could be the way forward (and not just my ones! I mean general videos that help you understand how a product works).
  5. No prob - if you are verging on an order for a mil etc then please place sooner rather than later for current prices.
  6. There will be a price increase on most of the products we distribute of around 10%... This will come into effect on Monday 11th July. Exchange rates have been poor for a while against the US $ but now they are very low - just checked HiFx and on a pretty good sized transfer they are giving $1.30 to the £. This is still dropping... The Yen has also dropped... Our Alaskan chainsaw mills are from the USA, as are Woodchuck Tools, K+H Wedges and Save Edge files. So a few days notice on this happening if you were thinking about buying any of our gear - price rise will be on or around the 11th July. PS - please no comments on whether a good thing or bad to come out of Europe! It's done now and there is another thread for all that!
  7. It will be better functioning and there will never be any advertising on there third party or otherwise, pop ups and all other nonsense that seems to be part of the web these days!
  8. Hearing that makes the world a better place
  9. Yes could be possible to have customer feedback on products - although at times this can cause further confusion... but maybe edited feedback could be a way forward?
  10. Nope - the search function is total cack On the new site it will be far far better - more like the Sugi site - where you can put in your saw to bring up sprockets, or put the bar mount to bring up bars eg. the D009 in Sugi is VT2...
  11. I don't think we will - mainly because I'd say there are not that different from the Sugi bars we already have. To airfreight a few bars makes them cost £££ - you needs pallets by sea to make them worth bringing over (and on top of this a 5 month lead time). Now the exchange rates are down to bring in new products is harder as they will be more expensive = harder to sell...
  12. Thanks all - the sprockets were a weak point before but this time we will have it far better with all saws covered. Any other suggestions?
  13. Started work building the new chainsawbars website - any feedback welcomed... What do you find good about the current website? What bad? What would you like to see in the future one? csb-website.pdf
  14. Yep -very cool - the metal work almost looks like a branch
  15. Bench was cool Mark - like the engraving - it got lost in amoungst the other things!
  16. All great work - liking it - I did a bed headboard like that and the size alone gives it a bit of wow factor. For the casters under the chair - where did you get them from?
  17. Ha ha! Good to hear some enthusiasm
  18. As above - give it a go - some have done it successfully to my knowledge....
  19. Yep those saws are bouncing a lot - could be some issues with the bar on the bar mounts. But still early days yet no doubt the system will improve!
  20. I've had a few people ask - are these mills as good as the original? Are they as strong? The answer is - they are fit for light occasional use but they are not as good or as strong as the original. You can't have the same product for less money - so you pays your money and takes your chances.... If in doubt or you have concerns then buy the original please.
  21. OK - we started these off cheap as chips as an intro offer - now am putting the prices up. However - if you are an arbtalker we will still do these prices pour vous!!! So please PM me if you want to get one at the old prices (not e-mail or call - the PM tells me you are on here and a contributor to this forum. Not just someone who has read the above and wants the cheap price). As said in another thread - we are no longer doing a general throw in for arbtalkers - but specific deals that will usually be hidden in threads like these.

    Tiny echo!

If you take off the bar and chain and hang onto these - please bear in mind that these saws will be ID'd by their serial numbers then destroyed. They are not worried about getting the bar and chain back. You can pack them in whatever is to hand as long as it won't fall to pieces on the journey back. For all the saws we sold we will give everyone a collection day and arrange the pick up - I expect it will be in a couple of weeks. Just need to see who wants to take Echo up on the deal. I'd rather get the CS280TES to people first - then we'll get the Echo 2510s picked up so no rush.

    Tiny echo!

I think the Echo offer is fair - and it's not open for negociation as far as I'm aware.... I will try and ask them to give me the Echo 280s with a 1/4" sprocket so all our customers can continue to use the thin bars and chains... That or I'll retro fit them - bear in mind the CS280s will likely be running 3/8 lo pro as standard.
  24. The CS281-WES is the back handle version - but the 2510 is not. In fact I need to take those off the Sugi site which I'll do now.
  25. Yep - the 36" version is selling fast but we still have plenty there.
