  1. It has been on there for a few weeks now and we have not had a single person yet to 'abuse' it. On the whole people just seem to knock a £ off or £2 if it's something like a sprocket etc.
  2. The fair postage 'thing' has been a bugbear since we started selling online ie. someone wants to order something off the website - something small - but they live in N Ireland... So the website charges too much ££! To hard to actually match weights and measures against destination... So we now have a fair postage button where you the customer reduce the postage down to what you think is fair - bear in mind it is post and packing you pay for. Only on Alaskan and Sugi sites at the moment but it will be on the new CSB site.
  3. Yep - I was thinking a few folk do that.
  4. These logs are really firewood value - the bonus for you is you don't have to cut it split it and dry it. Is it just for this one piece? Realistically you're looking at £50-00 tops but that is just my opinion.
  5. Ah - gotcha! Trouble is we have so so so many bars! I would say we have around 25 to 30 24" bars if you include all types and manufacturers.... and this tends to confuse people... Really the selectors are only there to reduce the results down so there is less to hunt through. Ref adding processors - we could do but what do we use as a reference guide? Any ideas?
  6. Yes they will be and I will also do a news bulletin on here as well!
  7. The pro lam bars are fine for occasional and regular use....
  8. Took months upon months of work! It's tricky - you mean work backwards from the chain? Could be possible but from the research we did 95% of people know their saw - they know their length of bar - they tend to be less sure of the chain size! The new selector will work differently and be an 'all in one' You will select the saw - select the model - bar options are then given - click a bar to find the chain... and sprocket... and files
  9. Ta! This is actually going to be re worked for Sept 2016 so hopefully should be better than it is now.... We are getting some China chain in and will brand it economy chain or similar. Going to test it first though... I think there is a niche for it as long as it is good quality. Can't see it ever coming up to Oregon/Stihl but of course it'll be cheaper.
  10. We could get some GB bars in but the trouble is the minimum order quantity... has taken 3 years to build the Sugi range up to being comprehensive. Usually MOQ is around 20 bars per each mount/length....
  11. They are all good - but if you are using day to day then the pro solid or silvery light type is the one to go for
  12. Yep I think if your saw is 95cc and below then the PMX/lo pro route is the best one to take in terms of speed and efficiency.
  13. Never realised they did a 1/4 .043 chain! Keep an eye on how it goes round the nose sprocket of what I assumme is the Stihl mini bar - Stihl were shrewd with this chain - the drive links are subtlely different than most other chains from my info. You may find an aftermarket chain does not properly mesh with the nose sprocket.
  14. I reckon this Chinese mill is a good way to start. My first one has started to rust a little on the joins. But overall it is not bad - very good for the money. But it's easy to copy the long term hardwork and investment of someone else... time Granberg improved the orginal me thinks Long term and for big saws not so sure. I have one set up on a 660 at the moment. What do you reckon the mount is on the Timberking? The Chinese saw? I milled with a 36" lo pro set up yesterday and with the Stihl PMX chain could not believe the speed on (to be fair only 16") oak. Felt almost bandsaw like! Very little pressure needed to send through the wood....
  15. Chain sharpness is the key then any set up feels good! But prob .325 .058 - standard set up would work best. I've tried playing around with lower pro type set ups but really these only work better when looking at putting a longer bar on a smaller saw.
  16. One review from one person does not really prove all that much does it! You know you can put a survey up on here and let people feedback what they think? That would be a better way of doing it....
  17. What changes were made to the chains from when they were Piranha? And why were the changes needed? Hmmm... sorry but a lot of things don't add up here in my mind. If everyone was saying how good the Piranha chains were/nothing but good feedback then why rebrand and start again?? Build on the name and brand.... Oregon and Stihl have been making chain for umpteen years. I am not against a Chinese chain but as good as Stihl or Oregon with the same quality control? It's unlikely isn't it....
  18. Cheers for the answers - so far seems like a mix of places....! Keep em coming just wondering if there is a theme or really just horses for courses! We supply DM with Sugi bars and they seem a good dealer
  19. Chain! Not interested in the exact price but do you shop around for the cheapest deal....? Or do you stick with your regular supplier and pay what they ask? Where do you buy your chains at the moment?? And why? But mainly I'm asking - how much does price come into where you buy it?
  20. We have got these in the pro lam..... and we have them coming in the light type pro... Should be a couple of weeks away or thereabouts!
  21. Thanks for your thanks!
  22. Just seen this thread (thanks to all by the way for the endorsement Did yee get yourself a Sugi in the end? The pro solid bars in 15" .325 .058 are not in for a few weeks yet... Rob
  23. I really don't get this - life is not that bad! Of course there are a million and one things that could be better.... there always will be! You have a choice if you want to get caught up in the rat race. We live in a country where you can walk around in a toga and hug trees all day long if that's what you want to do Not everyone is just out for themselves, (although to be fair most are...), but that's their choice... doesn't have to be your choice.
  24. Yep that's what I find - and it also changes with the wood type you are milling so there is no utterly hard and fast rule.
