  1. We'll look at an 8" option on the next order possibly..
  2. Cheers Joe - they are not expensive to you as I think there is no point in us charging a large margin. But they are too much to us as a distributer hence will only be a stop gap until we find another option. At least then we can offer a cheaper alternative as in the end we will have to sell these chains for more than this. Looking at the chain it does seem very well made.... trouble is Brexit has had an impact on the Yen as much as the $.... everything looks expensive to import at the moment

    Tiny echo!

Nope! Afraid not - I don't think it is them - somehow Stihl have done something non standard to the drive link on their 1/4 .043 chain so it will only go on Stihl sprocket nose bars... All the 1/4 .043 different chains will go on all the .043 carving bars though.
  4. Also similar packages for Husky 334, 335, 336, 338, 339 XPs 14" set up here: Sugihara 14" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 334,335,336,338,339 XPs Chainsaw | eBay 16" set up here: Sugihara 16" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 334,335,336,338,339 XPs Chainsaw | eBay
  5. As well as having lots of new Sugihara bars in - we also have a few that have been less popular - generally because they are non standard and it involves changing the drive sprocket. So a few good deals to be had on bundles - here a carving bundle for Husky 33,34,35,37,38,133,234,238 where you get x2 14" bars, x2 chains and the 1/4 drive sprocket all for an exceedingly good price! Don't want to clutter the website with some of these so they will be listed on good 'ol ebay! 14" carving package here: Sugihara 14" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 33,34,35,37,38,133,234,238 Chainsaw | eBay 16" carving package here: Sugihara 16" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 33,34,35,37,38,133,234,238 Chainsaw | eBay If you want a carving package for your saw let us know what the saw is and we'll set one up for you - mainly this will be 14" or 16" or we can do the 18" toonie and 20" quarter tips as packages where you get x2 bars, x2 chains and the drive sprocket/rim to match.
  6. As in all things it comes down to politics - chains had already been sold and priced pre Brexit to other distributers hence price to us is high. We will have to sell them at a very small margin ie. 10" chain £12+vat 12" chain £14+vat 14" chain £16+vat The above is approx... But we are going to look around for another 1/4 .043 chain that will run on these bars - the Stihl 1/4 .043 version won't. Could get an 8" version in the future - but trouble is we take the risk - all these 1/4 .043 bars we have had to order in the 100s for them to be made...

    Tiny echo!

We now have the Sugi bars in 10" dedicated Echo mount for when the new Echo 2511TES comes into play. That said rumour is they will be fitted with 10" 1/4 .043 sugi bars and chains anyway! But if you have other smaller Echo saws and want to convert over to 10" 1/4 .043 bars you'll be able to from now on....
  8. Have now taken delivery of the latest shipment of Sugi bars. Quite a few new 'uns! There is now such a range that it is confusing to us let alone to everyone else. Hence instead of big newsletters and threads we will drip feed them. Smallest first - we have the new Sugi bars that run 1/4 .043 chain. These will not run the Stihl 71PM3 (3670) chain. Sugi have started making their own chain but it is expensive and we are looking for other sources. These are universal mount pro lam bars (first of their kind). They will go on any saw under 40cc. Switching to the 1/4 .043 is the way forward for most small saws. As seen on the Echo 2510TES thread the cutting is faster, smoother and cleaner. It is so much better you can't even compare it to other chains! Disadvantages - harder to sharpen, less sharpens per chain, easy to write off if you hit something like metal. So do you have a 536LiXP or the 536LiXPT? For not a lot of money you can turn this into a 1/4 .043 set up. We have a few 1/4 spur sprockets in stock as we'll see how popular this set up is and how it works out on this saw. First come get the 1/4 spur thrown in with their order. After that you'll have to buy it separately. GROUP 0 Husqvarna chainsaws | Product Categories | Sugihara Guide Bars
  9. True - most of the time the courier does a good fast job - they have to these days! In real terms it prob costs less in shipping for a faster service than it ever has before.
  10. Thanks - sometimes it can work that way but sometimes it doesn't but wither way we do try to get the stuff out fast!
  11. It has been on there for a few weeks now and we have not had a single person yet to 'abuse' it. On the whole people just seem to knock a £ off or £2 if it's something like a sprocket etc.
  12. The fair postage 'thing' has been a bugbear since we started selling online ie. someone wants to order something off the website - something small - but they live in N Ireland... So the website charges too much ££! To hard to actually match weights and measures against destination... So we now have a fair postage button where you the customer reduce the postage down to what you think is fair - bear in mind it is post and packing you pay for. Only on Alaskan and Sugi sites at the moment but it will be on the new CSB site.
  13. Yep - I was thinking a few folk do that.
  14. These logs are really firewood value - the bonus for you is you don't have to cut it split it and dry it. Is it just for this one piece? Realistically you're looking at £50-00 tops but that is just my opinion.
  15. Ah - gotcha! Trouble is we have so so so many bars! I would say we have around 25 to 30 24" bars if you include all types and manufacturers.... and this tends to confuse people... Really the selectors are only there to reduce the results down so there is less to hunt through. Ref adding processors - we could do but what do we use as a reference guide? Any ideas?
  16. Yes they will be and I will also do a news bulletin on here as well!
  17. The pro lam bars are fine for occasional and regular use....
  18. Took months upon months of work! It's tricky - you mean work backwards from the chain? Could be possible but from the research we did 95% of people know their saw - they know their length of bar - they tend to be less sure of the chain size! The new selector will work differently and be an 'all in one' You will select the saw - select the model - bar options are then given - click a bar to find the chain... and sprocket... and files
  19. Ta! This is actually going to be re worked for Sept 2016 so hopefully should be better than it is now.... We are getting some China chain in and will brand it economy chain or similar. Going to test it first though... I think there is a niche for it as long as it is good quality. Can't see it ever coming up to Oregon/Stihl but of course it'll be cheaper.
  20. We could get some GB bars in but the trouble is the minimum order quantity... has taken 3 years to build the Sugi range up to being comprehensive. Usually MOQ is around 20 bars per each mount/length....
  21. They are all good - but if you are using day to day then the pro solid or silvery light type is the one to go for
  22. Yep I think if your saw is 95cc and below then the PMX/lo pro route is the best one to take in terms of speed and efficiency.
  23. Never realised they did a 1/4 .043 chain! Keep an eye on how it goes round the nose sprocket of what I assumme is the Stihl mini bar - Stihl were shrewd with this chain - the drive links are subtlely different than most other chains from my info. You may find an aftermarket chain does not properly mesh with the nose sprocket.
  24. I reckon this Chinese mill is a good way to start. My first one has started to rust a little on the joins. But overall it is not bad - very good for the money. But it's easy to copy the long term hardwork and investment of someone else... time Granberg improved the orginal me thinks Long term and for big saws not so sure. I have one set up on a 660 at the moment. What do you reckon the mount is on the Timberking? The Chinese saw? I milled with a 36" lo pro set up yesterday and with the Stihl PMX chain could not believe the speed on (to be fair only 16") oak. Felt almost bandsaw like! Very little pressure needed to send through the wood....
  25. Chain sharpness is the key then any set up feels good! But prob .325 .058 - standard set up would work best. I've tried playing around with lower pro type set ups but really these only work better when looking at putting a longer bar on a smaller saw.
