  1. Hi Steve - yes prob would be ok. They are fit for purpose but just not as well made as the original. After this lot are sold I am increasing the price - we can't sell them at this price and we only did it to challenge the other importer. We have around x30 of these left.
  2. Yes - as Morten states they work on both!
  3. Alun - have also refunded £5-00+vat to you. Please try and use the fair postage button if you can though!
  4. That's brilliant work for third carve! Got some talent there lad
  5. I'll refund you the £5 Pete!
  6. I posted this in the chainsawbars area so apologies for duplication! Better placed here in Alaskan... We have just got these in - SawTroll quick release clamps for the Alaskan Mill. You can also use one set if you have a small log mill. Buy here - http://alaskanmill.co.uk/product-cat...laskan-spares/ Everyone knows what a faff it is setting the height of an Alaskan - these make it far easier and save you having to dig a spanner out! Vid to watch as below: [ame] [/ame] We only have limited numbers of these at the moment so if you fancy them get in quick. Also - postage will be cheaper if this is all you are buying - use the postage reducer tool to bring the postage down to £3.95.

I think all Oregon chains are getting a make over soon! This .325 .050 chain I reckon will be really good on all the 50cc saws and either side of that size.
  9. The new Oregon 95TXL should enable longer bars to be run on less powerful saws as well. Takes a narrower kerf but is still .325 .050 - very new so not many reports on it yet.
  10. Thanks Darrin Pretty sure we can fit you up - but trouble is there is a fair bit of choice - do you want the cheapest set up or the best? What size bar? If you pick a bar from here GROUP 1 Stihl chainsaws | Product Categories | Sugihara Guide Bars It'll then list the compatible chain and sprocket options underneath.

I'm getting reels in this week - it is supposed to be 15% faster than any other chain in .325 out there but not tried it yet. It looks very nice and is different from all other Oregon chain... Nice to see a new chain from Oregon.
  12. Hmmmm.... should not do this with any bar. Sounds like is either too tight a chain or not enough oil (blocked oil hole and or oiler not turned up enough). Do you give the bar a good scrap to clear out the black crud at the bottom? That sucks up the oil. But something is not right there.... You have to watch the Sugi bars - the rails are as hard as it is possible to make them BUT if they get too hot you can damage the metal and then they can chip more easily than other bars.
  13. Yes we do indeed and we'll add it to website shortly!
  14. Fair enough.... I looked at the Rototech chains and they seem expensive in 1/4 .043 compared to their other chains... have you tried one yet? They are not far off a Stihl chain in price. I bought a couple of Rototech chains (3/8 lo pro .050) - they actually come nicely presented. Not tried them yet though and as you say on a small top handle you really want the best chain out there. The issue is more that we have to supply dealers and give them a margin so in the end the Sugi chains would have to be around £18-00+vat for a 10" chain (at least) in order to make it viable to put out through our other dealers. That would be fine if it was better quality - so to start with we will sell cheap and get some feedback first. We'll also get some Chinese 1/4 .043 chain as well so at least there is another option.
  15. We'll look at an 8" option on the next order possibly..
  16. Cheers Joe - they are not expensive to you as I think there is no point in us charging a large margin. But they are too much to us as a distributer hence will only be a stop gap until we find another option. At least then we can offer a cheaper alternative as in the end we will have to sell these chains for more than this. Looking at the chain it does seem very well made.... trouble is Brexit has had an impact on the Yen as much as the $.... everything looks expensive to import at the moment

    Tiny echo!

Nope! Afraid not - I don't think it is them - somehow Stihl have done something non standard to the drive link on their 1/4 .043 chain so it will only go on Stihl sprocket nose bars... All the 1/4 .043 different chains will go on all the .043 carving bars though.
  18. Also similar packages for Husky 334, 335, 336, 338, 339 XPs 14" set up here: Sugihara 14" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 334,335,336,338,339 XPs Chainsaw | eBay 16" set up here: Sugihara 16" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 334,335,336,338,339 XPs Chainsaw | eBay
  19. As well as having lots of new Sugihara bars in - we also have a few that have been less popular - generally because they are non standard and it involves changing the drive sprocket. So a few good deals to be had on bundles - here a carving bundle for Husky 33,34,35,37,38,133,234,238 where you get x2 14" bars, x2 chains and the 1/4 drive sprocket all for an exceedingly good price! Don't want to clutter the website with some of these so they will be listed on good 'ol ebay! 14" carving package here: Sugihara 14" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 33,34,35,37,38,133,234,238 Chainsaw | eBay 16" carving package here: Sugihara 16" Bars Carving Package Husqvarna 33,34,35,37,38,133,234,238 Chainsaw | eBay If you want a carving package for your saw let us know what the saw is and we'll set one up for you - mainly this will be 14" or 16" or we can do the 18" toonie and 20" quarter tips as packages where you get x2 bars, x2 chains and the drive sprocket/rim to match.
  20. As in all things it comes down to politics - chains had already been sold and priced pre Brexit to other distributers hence price to us is high. We will have to sell them at a very small margin ie. 10" chain £12+vat 12" chain £14+vat 14" chain £16+vat The above is approx... But we are going to look around for another 1/4 .043 chain that will run on these bars - the Stihl 1/4 .043 version won't. Could get an 8" version in the future - but trouble is we take the risk - all these 1/4 .043 bars we have had to order in the 100s for them to be made...

    Tiny echo!

We now have the Sugi bars in 10" dedicated Echo mount for when the new Echo 2511TES comes into play. That said rumour is they will be fitted with 10" 1/4 .043 sugi bars and chains anyway! But if you have other smaller Echo saws and want to convert over to 10" 1/4 .043 bars you'll be able to from now on....
  22. Have now taken delivery of the latest shipment of Sugi bars. Quite a few new 'uns! There is now such a range that it is confusing to us let alone to everyone else. Hence instead of big newsletters and threads we will drip feed them. Smallest first - we have the new Sugi bars that run 1/4 .043 chain. These will not run the Stihl 71PM3 (3670) chain. Sugi have started making their own chain but it is expensive and we are looking for other sources. These are universal mount pro lam bars (first of their kind). They will go on any saw under 40cc. Switching to the 1/4 .043 is the way forward for most small saws. As seen on the Echo 2510TES thread the cutting is faster, smoother and cleaner. It is so much better you can't even compare it to other chains! Disadvantages - harder to sharpen, less sharpens per chain, easy to write off if you hit something like metal. So do you have a 536LiXP or the 536LiXPT? For not a lot of money you can turn this into a 1/4 .043 set up. We have a few 1/4 spur sprockets in stock as we'll see how popular this set up is and how it works out on this saw. First come get the 1/4 spur thrown in with their order. After that you'll have to buy it separately. GROUP 0 Husqvarna chainsaws | Product Categories | Sugihara Guide Bars
  23. True - most of the time the courier does a good fast job - they have to these days! In real terms it prob costs less in shipping for a faster service than it ever has before.
  24. Thanks - sometimes it can work that way but sometimes it doesn't but wither way we do try to get the stuff out fast!
