  1. We are changing the way in which we sell the Granberg mills. Usually they come in a host of different sizes 24",30",36",42",48",60". The longer mills are awkward and expensive to ship - also it means keeping a large stock of rails in to meet different lengths. We'll still do the Alaskan 36" mills (which adjust down to 30" and 24") but for the longer mills we are now switching to the Granberg Ultimate mills - these will have 36"/24" and 12" extensions as well as x2 round handles. You can then make you mill to 24"/36"/48"/60"... for longer just buy another joining kit. If you have a Granberg mill you want to extend you can now do so without having to buy a whole new handle and rail set https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/mills-kits/alaskan-mill-mk-4/ The mill in the pics is set up as a 48" Alaskan.
  2. I thankyou sir
  3. Hi Steve - I was wondering if the sponsored forums area could be organised in order of number of posts? That way the more someone contributed to the forum they would feature closer the top?

He was a valued customer so sorry to hear the news RIP Goaty
  5. Yep can''t remember the number but we are there
  6. Are you going to the CONFOR show at Longleat 7th/8th Sept?
  7. It'll certainly be a tad more than the Chilaskan Steve! But it will perform far better
  8. No prob - they may have made the bar thinner to run that chain. But the Sugi bar should be stiffer I reckon
  9. Yep nae bother - I've put it up there for you Try that!
  10. Yep should be the start of major advances in the chainsaw milling world!
  11. A new mill in town in case you missed it!
  12. Loads of folk carve using the MS181 - we have a goodly range of carving bars for you if you need https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/carving-arena-selector/
  13. This has been in development with our new first cut systems. We wanted a chainsaw mill that was improved and better than anything else on the market. Features: Manufactured in the UK in Devon Rack and pinion system for easy tool less height changes Magnetic quick fix to bar attachment There will be more advanced options later where this mill will work in conjunction with the HEAVY first cut system
  14. Yep the lo pro bars with the Stihl PMX chain I find to be a lot faster than standard chain. I think in the end they will become standard milling equipment as reduces stress on the saw so much.
  15. Righto - have changed the chains as they were not correct. Weight - I'll try and re weigh it but that should be correct for that bar.... just what it comes out at - maybe they made a ligher weight version at Echo's request. Mount - it's not the K041 as such but the BM2 mount is more universal style mount - it covers the K041 mount. Hope that answers all questions?

What?! Thanks for letting us know and wish him a speedy recovery from me please.
  17. Husky 395XP is more of an old fashioned beast and I reckon better for milling - but way chain tensioner is located you would need to drill the runner on the mill.
  18. We have this one now for £29-50+vat https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product/granberg-auxillary-oiler-kit-2/
  19. Yep the oiler bolt can get blocked and also some oils seems to struggle to get through the small outlet hole. But it is easy enough to widen the hole and it doesn't take long to remove and clean it.
  20. Looks good - the only thing you may have an issue with is the hose coming off the bar with vibration. We do have oiler bolts if you need https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product/auxillary-oiler-bolt-spare/ You can take off all the postage with the postage reducer tool in the basket as this can go royal mail.
  21. We have the Mk II version now which is works better - you get x2 eyes that fit to the rail and an end ancor for the end of the log. Maget and 13mm ratchet spanner as well. https://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product/alaskan-winching-kit/
  22. It's weird how with some theft (unless it was a good bike) you'd think it was almost more work to steal something than actually earn the same amount of money honestly. But maybe with these thieves it's the principle of the thing!
  23. Used the first cut heavy duty system the other day and worked well. [ame] [/ame] Special offer is subject to date and stock restrictions so if interested in getting the pre order offer don't leave it too late.
  24. I did a similar thing - tired and doing a quick tidy up before holiday. Dropped a plank on my foot and broke big toe! Taught me when tired and time to call it a day - just call it a day!
