  1. Yep good find as that is a tasty looking piece of timber especially as if that's only the branches as well!
  2. Morning! Welcome to the forum. It's a bit of a piece of string question really in that there is no true answer but I expect it is in the arb world if you are good at the job - and all the things around it ie. how you present yourself/marketing/people skills etc that you can make more £.
  3. That attachment looks good - but I reckon the diamond stones we do are better and you get more than a few sharpens (I know you should do at that price) and they are longer - most folk with the precision grinder are now using them. You searched for diamond - Chainsawbars
  4. Yep ok - let me know what you want to do to get you cutting again (PM is best as sometimes don't have time to scan through threads).
  5. I reckon keep doing whatever you're doing while you're still enjoying it. There's folk out there doing all sorts of jobs until all sorts of ages because they love doing what they're doing. When you start thinking 'I'm too old for this' it's not cause you're too old it's more that you just ain't liking it no more!
  6. I'm not sure on this bar as although we seem to have sold a few can't remember having any issues ref the bar heel... we've had the same type of issue on carving bars but where 1/4 chain is much smaller removing a link cures it. Actually just double check the drive link count on the chain you have to make sure it is indeed 44! We got these multi mount bars in because we have to buy bars in batches of x50 per type - so a multi mount bar saves having to buy x50 dedicated Stihl mount and x50 dedicated Husky.
  7. The BN6 mount bars are the universal type to fit all small chainsaws (same as the carving bars). They should still fit the MS201T. Options are: We can send you a chain x1 drive link shorter and see if this solves it Grind out the heel of the bar so it is open like the Stihl bar - we'll cover the warranty if you feel this does not work Or we can send you out the standard 12" sugi bar that runs 3/8 lo pro .050 (as the bar you have I think is 3/8 .043). But with the narrower chain that bar you have should cut faster than the standard 3/8 .043 Let us know.

    Dead fir log

Great pics - hot dusty looking work!
  9. Sharp chain and good general maintenace yes it is - but a winch makes it easier
  10. Yep winch kit goes on these fine same as the genuine Alaskan
  11. Cheers - we're hoping this will work well for folk like that ie a good entry level mill so they can see if they enjoy the process and what they make... hopefully make a few £... and then they can look to gear up to bigger and better things.
  12. Yep the mills fit any bar really but on an 18" bar you would only get 10" of cut width.....
  13. Whoops! In stock now - should work well with a 74" bar I reckon
  14. You will always have a more efficient milling set up with an extra oiler as it applies oil direct to the cutting side of the bar. Also handy for those using smaller saw/larger bar combos. Quite a few people use them and quite a few don't! If you have the right saw you likely would be fine without one.
  15. Yep find them here Eco-AO Auxillary Oiler Kit For Chainsaw Mills - Chainsawbars
  16. Yep this mill is a smarter and better made version of the infamous Chilaskan... and a great price to boot.
  17. You may well recognise these but they have a new name/stainless fittings/clear view panel/correct markings and a few other minor improvments. A budget mill for those looking to start chainsaw milling. Not as budget as some - some might say - we will be looking to distribute these through our dealer network. We'll only be doing these in a 36" version and for a limited time offer (ends midnight 11th June) they will come with a FREE oiler kit. £120-00+vat. Eco-36 *NEW* 36" Eco Chainsaw Mill + Oiler Kit [Free Oiler Kit Offer Ends midnight 11th June] - Chainsawbars
  18. As above sycamore is going to be tricky to get to last outside even if coated up to the nines!
  19. These bars aren't on the CSB website because they are non standard... so no way of linking the two but in future you can always order off one and then reduce the postage on the other to £0 so you are not paying twice.
  20. Yep thanks - you will get tomorrow
  21. Oh and these are the chainsaws these bars will fit: 39, 40, 42, 44, 45, 49, 50, 51, 55 57, 133, 134, 142, 154, 234, 235 238, 240, 242, 246, 254, 257 261, 262, 339, 340, 345XP, 346XP 350, 351, 353, 355, 357, 359 360, 440e, 445e, 450e, 455, 460 550XP, 555XP, 560XP
  22. Good article - but in the real world? Most folk think of the summer coming up and the lack of light in their garden - they are just not intersted in looking 3 to 5 years in the future. Education is the way to go - but not on someone's doorstep - a good tv type series with someone good looking and famous would do it
  23. We have some non standard bars we wish to move on - this first batch are all in .063 gauge for Husky saws (see below). Originally we thought it a good idea to supply Huksy K095 mount bars with a .063 gauge so then whether you use Stihl or Husky the bars would all take the same chain... Offer runs until we have a lower stock on these bars - we still want to keep a few - however many you buy you'll get a second of each type free. OFFERS Archives - Sugihara Guide Bars
  24. Ok this should now be sorted.
