  1. We are allowing 16days, but don't mind if it were to run over a couple of days.
  2. Problem is if the client really want's it done, and you don't do it now, someone else will.
  3. Must be a petrol/gas ....I can't see loads off oil under it :-) Seen a slogan in a Jap magazine lately which I had a chuckle at "ONE LIFE why spend it under a Land Rover"
  4. Any phots / distinguishing marks incase someone sees it on ebay etc?
  5. We will be driving four Mitsibishi L200s from kent to the western sahara desert in Morocco and back. The Mrs aint keen on the route over the atlas mountains and doesn't know if she's going yet. Couple of blokes on the same route. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35nIZy5AvWs]YouTube - Crazy road in the sky[/ame] You can have a look at our website hear. HOME
  6. What's the worst that can happen......it dies and needs to be taken out (removal would be my option over pollarding a Sycamore). I don't think there's ever a good time to Pollard Sycamore. Why is removal not an option?
  7. Excellent stuff reg . . . . . . thanks for sharing
  8. What sort of boat have you got?
  9. I use the GOOGLE toolbar which comes with a free sepllhcekcer.
  10. Any update on advertising my websites Steve? Or can I put it in my signature?

  11. Thats a good camera ....like to see someone else work whilst I'm having a cuppa.
  12. Cheers Mark and Andy......guess I was wrong on that one.
  13. I would disagree asides from the EXP climber at maybe 150 per day. I climb for other companies, but as I am paying my own NI and tax I am self employed. My understanding is that if you are self employed and working for another company (subby) you also need to have your own PL insurance, which I do.......or have I got this all wrong? This means you are paying PL insurance, NI, tax and maintaining your own kit (loler) etc. If you do the sums I'm not sure that you are paying enough.
  14. STOP....IMHO I would NOT be buying that motor. The bloke is talking nonsense. Lots of discos around don't rush it.
  15. More than I'm paying myself at the moment......lucky man.
  16. Bugger, don't you just hate it when your not in the know.
  17. I,m Lost.......should this be a PM?
  18. Steve, I have started making websites as a sideline when I'm quiet. Can you let me know how much it would cost to advertise it on Arbtalk? This is the site Home Many Thanks Mac

  19. hey Ross, how ya doin? Pretty slow here in Kent mate. Think I used to get about 80% of the work I looked at. I would say that is down to about 40%. Many firms are undercutting one another and working for buttons. But not I, I can sit at home and earn nothing. I've have a little sideline when I'm quiet (need to speak to Steve before I can put it on here). Might even do it full time when my insurance runs out in August.
  20. Good advice....won't be the first time I've got up on a hedge to find all the arisings from the last cut have been 'stuffed down butt first into the hedge' nightmare....and even more rubbish to get rid of. If the hedge hasn't been cut before....it'll be 'much' easier.
  21. Not sure why a main dealer would go 'against' the reccomened service intervals........so make sure your own info is correct. I'm assuming it has been done before ......as 160,000 miles seams rather a lot before doing a belt.
  22. I'm an Ex Royal Marine who left in 1998. Got the corps to pay for my ten week course at Merrist Wood (re-settlement course). Someone suggested climbing for someone else......your call, but you'll not get much dosh with little experience.....that's if they let you climb without commercial speed. Now 51 years old and still climbing having both hips replaced. Wouldn't want to do anything else.
  23. I'm a big lump and have been using a Weaver for 11 years now. can't imagine that there is anything out there to beat it for comfort.......but I've never tried....why would I?
  24. Totally agree with Dean. In fact the only people I normally need to chase up ARE the commercial people who 'I have' done paperwork for.
