  1. Just don't need that at any time. Looked like a handy little tool that transit.
  2. yeh right !!! I expect they needed the bigger crane to get your fat aaaassss up the tree
  3. In their defence, I'm not sure that I could sleep well at night protected by a roof made from baked bean tins (which has obviously been damaged in the past). Looked like a nice job mate.......that chipper would scare me tho.
  4. Woodlands was closed by H&S down due to an accident. Still not open to my knowledge. Remember that when people are on your land, if they have an accident or cause damage they may well try and sue you. The entry and exit to the sites roads will need to be cleaned after 4x4s throwng up mud out of their large treads (someone may skid on it and sue you). You will need running / pressure washer for them to clean their rads and clutches and somewhere for that water to run too. You will need a circuit tho, and a route around the more difficult obstacles, or you will end up with a big traffic jam of unhappy offroaders. But if your keen enough you could make it happen.
  5. Some very nice photo's. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Cheers must have sent my thread at the same time Rupe.
  7. First time I've had this in 11 years. Done some work on a building site and when the cheque came back it was 20% shy of what it should have been. I normally pay my own tax being self employed (not vat registered). Usually only provide my UTR number to the company I'm working for. Problem is I got a guy in doing some stump grinding and will actually end up out of pocket on that payment which will be 20% less than I pay him.......Grrrrrrrrr I'm gonna chase this up. Will let you know how I get on.
  8. been asked by a good client to KILL Russian vine. It's spread over flat ground about the size of a badmington court. I was going to use SBK/Parrafin Mix to kill it. But it doesn't always give great results.......what would you do? I have explained to the client it is likely to need more than one treatment.
  9. Yep, I still cannot get on the site.
  10. QUOTE- Want I want is to state that it would be the clients resposibility to cover any additional man hours and any costs associated with calling in an expert ecologist if protected species are discovered unexpectedly during works -QUOTE COULD READ - "It is the clients resposibility to cover any additional man hours and any costs associated with calling in an expert ecologist if protected species are discovered unexpectedly during works" You cannot make them do anything IMO. But you can walk away if you don't need the work.
  11. The link and your website not working on my computer Jonsie
  12. I'm much quieter than normal. I KNOW that others say they are snowed under, when it is not the case.....can't understand that.
  13. I expect you'll need it for that lot.....lol
  14. No mate, I dont need the memory card. I have all uk roads as standard. All National Parks(memory map), Southern England (memory map) and Northern France (Memory map IGN) and still have buckets of memory on my Navigator. I take my laptop and can delete or add other maps and routes to the Navigator as required.
  15. We all make mistakes....that's why pecils have rubbers on them. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I use Memory Map for Green Laning it is the donkeys. You can print maps, routes, mark objects (waypoints or markers) I have a Road angel navigator which is compatible with memory map but it shows an OS map on the screen 1:25000 or 1:50000. I also have an Evermore GPS which can be used with a laptop showing your position on an OS map. Obviously being a larger screen you can view a larger area than a satnav.
  17. I have thinned pops. Usually Protectected Trees which can't be removed. Here's one being thinned and you can see another in the background before thinning. I have found that if you don't thin it 'Too Much' it wont panic into pushing out epicormic growth.
  18. There will always be a need for climbers. IMO MEWP's although suited to some work, will always encounter restricted access on the majority of jobs.
  19. Seen this Dodge 50 4x4 on ebay. Could be a good buy for someone, as they are a pretty awsome piece of kit. DODGE 50 SERIES 4X4 EXPEDITION CAMPER on eBay, also, Campervans Motorhomes, Campers, Caravans Motorhomes, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-May-09 22:59:05 BST) I bought one some years back and converted it to a tipper. Here it is.
