  1. You get what you pay for.
  2. I've got the Husky stretch air and the Stihl hi flex. I think the Huskies are more hard wearing.....but they make my bum look big so I use the Hi-Flex mostly.....Not that I'm fashion conscious you understand:-)
  3. Nice one Mark. Not keen on big cherry pickers myself (always kak myself). But it's got to be better than hanging off a pollarded Pop.
  4. I need one.......does jonsie do them?
  5. Nice little slide show with my morning coffee ......cheers
  6. I think you (or highways) need to get planning consent from the 'local authority' IN WRITING.
  7. Thing is mate if it lands on a car with kids in, how would you feel then........I would knock on the door if I had a concern. No harm done.
  8. That sounds more probrable in this instance.
  9. It's on the coast, so never much snow around here. This shrub/tree did not come into leaf this year, however has always looked healthy in the past.
  10. I've never seen this before. EVERY branch on a clients Ceanothus was split. Some deep enough to loose a 50p Coin in. Anyone know any more about this condition?
  11. Falls, Rope Burns, Fuel Burns, Eye Injuries, Deep Cuts, Pressure Points, Broken Limbs. Silky Cuts.
  12. I Turned 50 in Feb. Done the 10 week cse at Merrist Wood in 1998/99 (Aged 39). Had both hips replaced in 1999, and still climbing pretty good now.
  13. Good job I don't suffer from sea sickness ....lol

  15. Travelling in convoy from Calais to an offroad site in France, chatting on the CB knowing you are gonna have some great driving, camping, bbq's and beer up's all weekend........Sweet
  16. Well done everyone some very nice pictures.
  17. Here's a photo I took near Shreks place last November. Shreck it's from that cafe just before you get to Ardrossan on the left.....can't remember the name of it.....photo is taken towards the island of Arran. My parents live in Saltcoats and I was up visiting.
  18. I enjoy a bit of GREENLANING. In particular I enjoy the planning of routes and navigating them. Going to France next week to check some out.
  19. There would have been an E-Tenner in the email
  20. Cheers folks....I'll go for the hard cut approach me thinks. I shall take some photos and let you know how it goes.
  21. I have a very good client who has asked me to turn a couple of Yews into their former glory (complete with squirrels) Thing is, I am not sure if I should gradually nibble them back or cut them hard then train it from there. The conifer on the left 'is not' to be touched for sentimental reasons, but the Laurel to the right can be pruned back meaning the Yew on the right will get more light than the one on the left, not ideal I know......but that's the brief. Any advice would be appreciated.
  22. Nice one cerne........enjoy that non virtual beer, you deserve it.
  23. Very nice.....in a previous life I used to do a little bonsai. Found it very theraputic pruning ickle trees without a harness on.
