  1. wow! def not with it tonight. Glasgow is where i will be using it.
  2. Yeah...forgot to say. For hire only
  3. Got an oak to remove. the main tie in point has been ripped out in high winds and it is growing over 4 phone lines. need a access platform. Does anyone know where i can hire either a landrover cherry picker or one of those ones on tracks - tight access driveway. Cheers
  4. I did have a ford connect to run around ion and it was good for taking tools to jobs..but it meant more insurance, road tax etc, I am trying to cut my expensies down and profit up and this month alone i have spent £700 on fuel for canter. sounds ok amount...but i am only using it 4 days a week for quotes and work. I thought that maybe a landrover would be cheaper on fuel. ?
  5. I use a 3.5 tmitsubishi canter and have done so for the last year , great little truck. i also had a ford connect for doing quotes etc. I had to sell the connect as it was to expensive to run both and now my only transport is the canter..which is costing my a fortune every month on fuel as i use it for work, quotes, running family around in etc , etc. I am thinking of getting a landrover but don't know how expensive they are to run? my truck just now is a 3.0L and i use a full tank -£80 about every 200-250miles. it is expensive to insure and servicing costs a lot as i use truck depot . it is reliable, looks good, and holds a lot of chips. How much chips does a a 110 tipper with body hold? are the expensive to insure? how much Mpg? i have 15k budget. Whats the pros and cons of landrover tipper? Many thanks.
  6. there's a russian saying..to be able to press a lot you need to press a lot. Western idea of strength and fitness training is to burn yourself out 3 days a week with 2 hr sessions in gym. this leads to long term adrenal fatique, damaged cns, more injuries and still pressing , squating etc same weight you did 10 years ago. Russian and eastern idea is to practice the techniques and movements without burning out and do this regular. you should feel strong everyday. and by practicing high tension movements this will lead to strong overall body..anyway i could go on and on about this...but its arbtalk not fitnesstalk.
  7. kettlebells are great. i teach classes and highly recommend them. the difference is that they teach you how to contract muscles and how to use your body. check out dragondoor.com
  8. oh yeah..guy in pic is in his 50's.
  9. Old men in there 40's Lol. you very funny. 40 ain't old. Mick this is why people become old ..usually to much sitting and not training correctly..stonger grip will help with tennis elbow etc Stongmen actually use grippers not just for strength but for hand health. And deep squats, heavy deadlifts, difficult chins...will keep you feeling younger and stronger for longer.
  10. straps are good for deadlifts if you lift 300k..not so good for chins. chins are a full body exercise and getting stronger grip will make you stronger thorughout...actually instead of making grip easier it is best to make it more difficult. Arnie used to cover his bar in grease for doing deadlifts, fat grips make it more difficult as you need to sqeeze harder to hold on for chins, Here is an old time strongman doing rafter pinch grip chins with 70lbs extra.
  11. Its for a public display..imagine what could go wrong.
  12. PHAT GRIPS MARK. Fat Gripz Can use them for deadlifts ,chins etc. really good. Had mine for couple months now and really work your grip.
  13. We need someone who owns and can operate a chainsaw in Scotland for a new piece of outoor theatre. Community Chest Gorbals Glasgow
  14. I was just asking no need to get defensive. seems strange though as we are so used to doing nice pruning cuts..now we have people doing nice hack cuts. Would it be easier with a carving bar?
  15. they are for insects right? why must they look good??
  16. I have truck and chipper, also all gear, insured and experienced. give me a call to discuss - 07872147453 Martyn

  18. whats the best timber for them?
  19. Ah. just watched you vid again, and read what you wrote. doh! nice work.
  20. Nice vid. Regarding some of those chunks that popped off. Do you think the placement of slings could have been better? looked like a couple close ones with butts swinging out. awesome vid though!
  21. £50 for 1 hrs chipping which would prob fill my truck and i would have to dispose of chips...mmmm prob is that chippers cost over 15k new + fuel and the average truck is around 8k, then maintaining the chipper and truck etc etc etc...£50 is beer money and will barely cover expensies.
  22. pics of popular tree that i had priced to climb but due to injuring my back couple days before i decided to fell. took fence down and had just enough space in car park at that angle to fell it. pleased i did as the base was badly decayed.

  24. How could anyone else know what job it is?? quoted a few large site clearance jobs over the last couple months.
